Wow! The New Kits are AWFUL!
By: Cesar | July 1st, 2009
Wow … guess I WON’T be buying one of the 2009/10 Valencia CF kits.
The things are hideous to look at …
A few observations:
- Kappa, what were you thinking? The shirt’s bland. The bat made up of VCF names that will be worn in European matches looks amateurish … (the one worn by the confused looking former VCF player Francisco ‘Paco’ Camarasa below)

- The sponsor’s name is too high on the shirt. And the green ‘Unibet’ logo? Bleh …
- The entire look of the kit isn’t too bad, though.

And look, David ‘The Mauler’ Navarro is back. Sweet!

Yeah, they are essentially the same kits from last year, just tighter fitting and with an ugly ass logo. But the Unibet logo is really awful. If they would let VCF make it orange it would be okay.
The “Bat Kit” is just plain awful…

Xes, I wouldn’t have a problem with a bat by itself, if done properly. This bat though does look very amateurish, like somebody said.

@ Kyle-
Thanks for the Miku video. Won’t someone post a profile of Miku here? He deserves to be better known by Valencia fans.

@ Jiwonsi.
He has really only played in the Spanish second division. He is big, has decent speed and good dribbling skills. Good header of the ball. Mainly a box forward. He is kind of like a Morientes type player, but faster and more dynamic. However, it is a big step up from the Segunda division to la Primera. Will probably be a backup, not a starter.

Hi the bat was a great idea BUT they made it weak and washed out and not the sort of image we want to give.
It should have been black and ominous with fangs dripping blood !!! to frighten the life out of the goalie when he saw it getting nearer.
No good whatsoever as it is ….shamePosted from

@KYLE. Glad you posted that bit about MIKU. I have mentioned various times on this site that we should give him a go. He was instrumental in bringing Salamanca up from 2nd b a few years back. He is a good goal getter, I think it was 12 the last time I looked and IMO there is not that great a difference between 1st and 2nd ( apart from 1 or 2 teams who shall be nameless!!) because most of the 2nd have been in the first and fluctuate constantly and it is just as hard to score goals there.
I also believe I read he can now play as a European playerPosted from

The Bat shirt is already famous, over like 10 years people will still talkt about “the Bat shirt”

Might get it as a collecters item, don’t find i too ugly too!Posted from

Thing is, every year we try to do something to honor our past, whats was it the last few times? Electric forwards from the 40’s, 90 years of history, every year they try to give it this special touch but truth is it doesnt make it look better.
Collectors item? Sure, but that jersey on my wall will still make me anorexic every morning!!! I’d rather stay healthy than
@ Kyle
Nice. I think he deserves a chance, like his style, cant wait to see him in action, in our AWAY-kit!Posted from

The team need money. So, everyone should buy a shirt unless he doesn;t like it.

Ohhh maan! Look , seriously guys, for me, its not the unibet or bat thingy that bothers me, its that they have no imagination … Its always just plain white nowadays.. Honestly, id rather have the sevilla shirts, that are daring, different from the rest, then these shirts we have right now… What happened to the orange away shirts, what happened to the blue away shirts, what happened to the awesome red and yellow striped shirts? I miss the creativity , and the variation that our shirts had back in the Days man! Damn it!

Barcelona have now made an official offer: €40 million plus either defender Martin Caceres on loan or new Barcelona boy Keirrison on loan.
Plus, Laporta has confirmed Barca is talking to Villa.

@Almendras
I think Miku has 15 goals in 35 games now, or something like that.

No they haven’t made an official offer. Get it right. Llorente himself said that he hasn’t received a single thing from Barca.

From today…

We heard the Villa to madrid for a long time…now we are hearing madrid to Barca storiess….
Aparently barca board members met with vila at his home without the knowledge of valencia and that has made llorente mad and Unai emery also is angry at the treatment of barcelona …Thinking that we will accept keirrison and the money for villa…Emery has said keirrison is no where near villa and if barca need villa just pay the 40M pounds and take him… as he feels he can get better strikers with around 15 millions….
May atleast two people out of Dani guiza, granero, uche, kalinic might be playing with a bat on their shirt…

I would take Caceras on loan. He can’t be worse than what we already have…

What is the point of such an exchange?
“I’ll take your bes player, give you money and I’ll let you train my younger player so that they ca rip you apart we they’ll get older…”
I’m skeptical about this exchange. If it were true, then the wouldn’t offer as much as money as yo pretend.

Appearently there’s nothing going on atm according too Llorente: http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2009/07/02/1359634/no-negotiations-with-barcelona-for-david-villa-valencia
Lets hope this is true….

I don’t see the point of such an exchange…
“I’ll give you money, take your best player and let you train our young players so that when they’ll get older, they’ll rip you apart.”
Plus, I’m skeptical about the amount of money that Barcelona are willing to offer. I’m pretty sure, if that is true, they are trying to convince the Valencia’s board to accept such a beneficial exchange. If Valencia do accept, it would only mean that they are considered as a mid table team who have no ambition but to help the bigger team to become stronger and more dangerous.

the UNIBET logo should be up on the players’ faces instead.. they should wear masks like ZORO and put the logo their.. wtf..

I don’t like the loan deals. It is simply a way of getting their ‘not quite first team’ players some valuable minutes at our expense and then taking them back when they are good.
Caceres isn’t great right now. He has his strengths, but isn’t solid by any stretch of imagination. If we take him and develop him into a good player, we should be able to keep him. Simple as that.

I totally agree with you Nithin.

Agree about the unibet logo should be lower, way lower. Man, you see the unibet before you see Valencia badge and it does looks awful.

This is a great kit. Kappa does a great job for all their teams they sponsor. AS Rome, same great kit. Even the bat is great, even though the slick design is not
so _obvious_ for some….Posted from
