what did people think of Villas performance?
he just didnt look in it, and has come under heavy criticsm (sp) from the people i talk to regarding los che.

it was a bitter pill to swallow, but i think this year it’s for the best… we just wasnt doing ourselves justice in my humble opinion.

fernandes and edu midfield looked impressive though, and vicente i thought was very very close to what we expect of him!!!

0-0 means we go home.. Well maybe we can win teh Uefa Cup again. Make a doblete !

The liga Uefa and Copa del Rey still are up for grabs. We just need to focus.

All in all except for teh stupid reds to albelda we had a solid game with little penetration. I would have chalked up the game to Valencia if not for still persistant weak passing. And playing a man down 30 min in made it nearly impossible to mount proper counter attacks.

I am pretty typical for a Valencia fan, this I know. We’re a cynical bunch! What can I say? But we do love our club!!
As for Kempes, etc. I included guys more from the modern era, meaning 1998-07 … so that’s why no Matador.

its true… Santi made an awful error for the goal, but prior to it he did make some very good saves and without doubt in my opinion kept us in the game.

its hard, becasue neither goalie has shone when given the oppurtunity, so both have kinda been as disappointing as one another in that sense (but that statement flows through the wghole team in my opinion).

it will get better… IT MUST DO!

I stumbled across your blog a couple of months ago completly accidently but i read it all the time. Typically like all valencia fans your too negative i think we can exceed expectations this season Vicente is back and Edu, its just a shame that Alexis is injured there is no point sticking with Helguera. Koeman must be brave and drop Albelda and Baraja for the future of Edu and Fernandes. I really don’t think were that far behind Real and Barca we just have to sacrifice more every game, Edu will because of his injurie frustration as will Vicente and Fernandes because of youth. Christmas will reveal the real contenders for the title win the next three games and the tide will turn. Final point Top five Valencia heroes, where was Mario Kempes possibly our best ever player and also Jonhy Rep the first foreign idol(aside from South Americans)and for the modern era Vicente defintly eclipses the memory of Mendieta. Have Faith.

i am 100% behind Valencia and koeman… koeman coming to valencia is not like splashing water in a pan full of hot oil.. he needs time to see the players,, to know the players.. and with out bad luck tht most of the Spains national team is from valencia so truly he didn’t have the time to see the capabilities and work with our top players. but the problem is people always want things fast!
To tell you the truth i see that valencia are playing so much better than they were when QQ was in our coach. i can see some motivation in our players.
The coach was given a team with bad defenders and 1 good mid. new and young. and people expect him to turn this around in a week?
Canizares is old . period.. i like him he was omething big he was large but now he isn’t, thats life he should just go… koeman wanted to give him the chance and i asure you that hildebrand will play against shalke and he will be #1.. canisares will have a newfriend called “Bench” he has his shot he sucks.
Koeman came with our poor defenders and he is working hard to get the best out of them. i can see tht the defenders are much better but still we need a rock back there.
Our midfield is empty…Albelda he was never a good midfielder in my eyes… he was always average,, and i dnt like average. M. fernandes i like,, but we cant throw him in the middle and expect him to change everything,, hes young without so much experience for god’s sake!
i dont no why we always play from the wings,, always,,we rarely penetrate from the midfield,, why? its not like we have Crouch to head each ball coming from the wings.
i havn’t heard any rumors about players wanted by valencia in winter transfer window.. why do thy like ivan hilguera at the back? or the stupid marchena? or the average albelda? or the old baraja and canisares??
remmeber our game when Villa scored 2 goals.. against murcia i think.. they were all due to penetrating from the midfield… because penetrating from the midfield makes the oponents defen lacks confidence if u penetrate once or twice.. and thats the key i think.
