VCF Tidbits
By: Cesar | June 12th, 2009
Today’s one year to the 2010 World Cup and if you’ve been following me on the Road to 2010, you know I’m hoping to be in South Africa.
We’ll see if that’s possible.
One thing’s that’s for sure is that players like David Villa, David Silva and Raul Albiol will be representing Spain in South Africa next summer, much like they are at this summer’s Confederations Cup.
But will they still be VCF players? That’s in doubt.
The big rumor today comes via Canal Nou and Kyle. The offer? David Villa and Raul Albiol to Real Madrid for €50 million, midfielder Esteban Granero and striker Alvaro Negredo.
This is a VERY interesting offer …
Both Negredo (23) and Granero (21) are young, both are promising talents and both are cheap.
The only problem I can see with this (besides the obvious loss of Villa) is the loss of a central defender in Albiol.
Sure, Albiol’s acumen for striking the ball into his own net won’t be missed. But what about his defending prowess, which gets better every season? Sure, he can act the fool at times. But he’s an overall decent defender.
Couple that with the loss of Moretti and possibly Miguel and we’d be in even more trouble than we’re already in as far as defense is concerned.
How about this?
Madrid also throw in 22-year old defender Ezequiel Garay, currently on loan at Racing Santander? He’s young, a great talent and a good set-piece taker.
Maybe we knock a few Euros off the price tag? Eh? Whaddya think?
Espanyol’s Sergio Sanchez has been bandied about as a possible defensive reinforcement as well. I’m just of the belief getting rid of so many starting defenders could cause a problem down the line – an even worse problem than we had last season.
We’ll see.
A few more news tidbits for today:
1 – Apparently David Silva isn’t too happy about being declared untransferable.
I guess new president Manuel Llorente’s declaration that Silva’s young, talented and possibly a future captain of VCF didn’t sit too well with the diminutive midfielder.
Seems he has his bags packed and ready to go to Real Madrid.
You know, if you don’t want to be here, just go.
2 – Ever heard of Royal Excelsior Mouscron?
Me either. They’re a Belgian football club in the Jupiter League, Belgium’s first division.
Why am I mentioning this?
They have a new coach, VCF legend and super defender Miroslav Djukic.
Sporting director? Amedeo Carboni.
His right hand man? Juan Sanchez.
Who will they hire next? Santiago Canizares??
Take a look at their web page. They apparently want to become a destination for young Spanish players.
I wish them well.
3 – Welcome, Jeremy Mathieu and Angel Dealbert, new VCF players. AMUNT! Any one know their Facebook pages, so we can bug them?
4 – Raul Albiol wants to finish his career with VCF. So when he comes back from Madrid, you mean?
5 – According to Super Deporte, VCF’s working on Cesar’s renovation as we speak. Ok.
That’s all I got. Spain plays this Sunday. Go on, La Furia Roja! Amunt!

I don’t get it, the guy doesn’t want to play with Valencia but with Marseille? It’s obvious that he just wants to play in the CL..
Players like Banega are destroying football today..

@Mohammed: I dont think its just to do with the CL bro…I think he has some sort of personal issue with some of the players or Emery…
Let’s not forget his first season in Valencia was a disaster for all of us..For an 18 year old in a new continent it must have been very hard on him. We currently dont have many South Americans in our squad so he must feel left out.I dont mind him leaving, but we should at least get 12ME for him. If no offer comes then he is entitled to stay as he has a long contract with us.

Players like Banega need a father figure, especially after what happened to him under Koeman. He’s 20 and probably confused. If Emery wants him on the squad and is willing to give him a fair chance, he just needs to talk to him, comfort him and he’ll be fine. Emery’s good in psychology.

comfort him ?

Well, let’s say Emery has to have a sincere talk with him, boost his confidence, explain what his intentions are. Who knows what Banega’s views of VCF are these days. Everyone’s writing a lot of rubbish about us, sending us to secunda etc. Right now, VCF isn’t exactly a promised land for someone who reads Spanish papers…

Remember i think it was Emery that sent Banega out on loan in the first place and it was one of the first things he did when he took over…I don’t think Emery is too keen on him for w/e reason…lets face it Valencia did not treat Banega right, he is entitled to not want to return

Sergio Sanchez wants to come to us.. and HUGO VIANA might leave Manolo’s place!! Comee onnn!!! he’ll leave Denilson alone!!
Sporting Lisbon might want him.

Other quotes from Banega:
April 9:
“Nobody at Atletico Madrid has told me whether the club will exercise the option to sign me or not. Yes, I would like to stay…When I arrived I did so with the desire to do things well and stay here, and that is what I wish,” he explained.
“It would hurt me if Atletico Madrid did not decide to sign me because as I say I want to stay here. If it doesn’t happen then I will try to succeed in another team, but I repeat that Atletico are a big team and I want to stay.”
April 21:
“I have not spoken with anyone, the truth is that I am thinking about Atleti, because that is where I am now. I do not know where I am going to go still, and it is strange, because one thinks about playing for one team and does not know anything. That does affect you a little,” he mused.
“I have already said many times, I am happy here, I have team-mates that I feel comfortable with and people have always treated me well. I will continue working, we have seven games left and soon I will know what will happen.”
Indeed, it is reported that his future could be decided in the next couple of weeks by Atleti, and Banega knows he has to impress if he gets the chance to play.
“I hope I can, but right now I am enjoying the moment of the other day, scoring the goal and the win. Now we have seven games and the chance to finish amongst the top six,” he said.
“We must keep on working week by week and on Thurdsay we have a hard game [against Racing Santander] and we must try to win… I try to take advantage of each time I play.”

Barca offer 40m plus Bojan and Martin Caceres..
I think we should take it..

The man u deal is a great one too. id take 20 mill plus tevez from man u.

United Arab Emirates

haha, bankrupted bats can’t afford Tevez wages..get real guys and he’s not a Man Utd player..you will need to pay 22 m to sign him from Kia..

How much of a difference is 20 million going to make in the grand scheme of things? Is it worth losing Villa over? If its only 20 million in cash we’ll get, aren’t we better off keeping Villa?

That Barca deal…..Are both Bojan and Martin Caceres on loan for a year?

@ Fayez: Yes from what i’ve read it is.
Thats why it doesnt seem like a very good deal, maybe if we can keep Bojan that it gets more interesting!Posted from

Madrids sporting director Valdano:
“And as for David Silva… I don’t know what to do with Valencia. I have read that he is intransferable.”hehehe

nithin, if we take barca’s deal, 40 mill in cash, we will spent 10 mill of them in other signings which will leave us with 30… whats the differnce between 20 and 30 mill when it comes with a debt like ours? but i rather have teves as a valencia player, than bijan and cesares on loan.

I thought Azpilicueta was Emery’s first choice right-back for this transfer period, not Sanchez from Espanyol.

United dont own tevez, MSI own him, so they cant offer him as part of a deal. Plus tevez’s wages will be sky high even if he was able to be part of a deal.
Posted from

Yeah and even so Id rather have Negredo and than 25 million that Tevez and 20 million. I say we get as much money as possible, and IF Bojan should come on loan, be it for at least 2 years (so we can grow Aaron into a decent striker or someth). Our club isnt interested in Caraces anyways i read, so that could be a possibility. Tho Bojan doesnt want to be loaned out…
But in any case, forget Tevez, he is never gonna come our way and for sure we dont need nor can afford such a player.

When you first power up a MAX 80, it responds by sending out a short beep every few seconds. That’s the system telling you it needs a boot disk. If you plug the computer into a monitor, you’ll only see a bunch of garbled characters…this is normal although not necessarily enough to inspire confidence when you have no boot disk to test with. And for two years, that’s as far as I could get. I had been attempting to boot the system with a disk I found labeled “MAX-80 BIOS” on a Lobo twin 8″ disk drive web design, but I had no idea if the disk was a system disk or just plain bad. I did not have a lot of confidence in the drive either. Every once in a while I would pull the system off the shelf, hook up a new combination of cables or drives or disks to see if I could make progress. No luck.
