Vamos, Valencia!

Tomorrow evening, it’s Valencia-Barcelona at the Mestalla, one of the classicos of Spanish football.
While not the biggest match on our schedule, it’s an important one nonetheless.
It’s only the 4th game of the early season schedule, but it will tell us a lot about where we stand in the league.
Are we true contenders? Can the Spanish Old Firm be knocked off their lofty, rich perches?
Barca’s starting to heat up. Their 8-0 thrashing of Osasuna on Saturday is a testament to that.
Our Beloved stand at the top of the Spanish league mountain, looking down (along with Real Betis) on all the pretenders. For the moment, at least.
Look, I know it’s early. But it’s still an important match. Any match with Barcelona is an important match. They employ some of the best players in the world, guys like Lionel Messi, Xavi and some guy named David Villa.
If we can pull a result from this match, it’ll go a long way towards giving us the confidence necessary to continue down the current path we’re on.
Beating Genk and Racing Santander isn’t the same as beating Barca.
This is the cream of the crop, the top of the food chain. The best in the world.
Can Roberto Soldado score? Actually, will he even play?
Can the midfield geniuses, guys like Sergio Canales and Pablo Piatti, stretch the thin Barca defense?
Can Victor Ruiz and Adil Rami handle the offensive onslaught? Can Ever Banega shut down the midfield?
Can Unai Emery motivate the troops?
Can Curro Torres serve drinks fast enough?
It’s all up in the air.
If you’re lucky enough to be at the Mestalla tomorrow (I see you, Javier), yell your lungs out for the boys.
The rest of us will eagerly cheer on the troops from our foreign perches.

What baffles me most are the betting odds against VCF for the Barca match:
1 = 7,0
0 = 4,2
2 = 1,4I mean, we are an in-form team, topping la liga, always gave Barca some problems … 7,0 for wining at Mestalla is kinda insulting tbh.

Well Levante had even worse against Real and they did well
But really I mean what else do you expect when Milan played Barca though it was at the Nou Camp it was 10,4 that’s a lot too. PLus if you do bet on Valencia and they do win you get more money

Emery should play both mathuie and jordi to prevent dani alves from attacking.., this will gve mathuue less running so he wont die 60 minutes in the game. Plus dani will hve to hold bk cuz jordi nd piatti r there. Emery dd do this trick before and it worked perfectly.

@Fayez long ago, still we only lost one out of the last 3 at home as well.
@El rey true, and Real too during that era. Too bad that was pretty much all we beat as well
Honestly i think its quite possible we lose 3 times this week as all 3 are matches we could lose. For the season its much more important what happens the weeks after this week though. If we can beat the lesser teams on a consistent basis again we should be good for 3rd once more.
