Response from our Club to the irresponsible act from Marca and GOAL.com

The Valencia Football Club wishes to express to all its shareholders and supporters, before the alarming news published in some ways, the following points:

1 .- That the club’s managers have a clearly defined plan of economic viability which is being run from the last four months. The chairman, the directors, executives and employees of the club remain steadfast in their task to lead Valencia to economic stability.

2 .- The Board of Directors, with its chairman at the helm, wants to convey serenity and tranquility to the entire Valencian flatly denying that Valencia is in bankruptcy, a term that has been used irresponsibly.

3 .- The Valencia Football Club wishes to express its confidence in financial institutions which, to date, have shown their support for our great club and, hence, our hundreds of thousands of fans.

4 .- The club requires responsibility and rigor to analyze the economic situation of our institution, the Valencia reserves the right to exercise legal action necessary.

5 .- The Valencia Football Club asking for the union of all the Valencian to maintain the excellent progress of the first sports team, the fruit of stability and hard work of staff and the coaching staff.

To be honest I dont think the Marca or the goal.com article should concern us but there is something very worrying in all of this in what Marchena said.

In his interview today (you can read about it on http://www.superdeporte.es) he stated that the players know nothing about the situation and are “worried” and only know “from the mass media” as no one in the “club talked to them about it”. That is VERY worrying to me and a cause of concern. The whole situation would hurt the players’ morale and it is evident from what Marchena said that they are in the dark about this as much as we are.
I really hope the president talks to them in the next couple of days and explains the situation, the same kind of talk occured when Leeds got bankrupt, this is serious stuff and Soriano has to step up and explain matters, not to us fans as we are secondary in this, but to the players.

The only reason why I’m checking their site is because they translate interviews from Spanish (I hope they don’t fuck up the translations and they do all the rest!)

Good point, Kuku, why buy Carleto for 2M and offer 12M for Keirrison if the club is on the verge of bankruptcy?!?

On another note, its hard to know the true situation based on tabloid journalism but buying a new player and being involved in talks with Keirrison doesnt sound like a club being in danger of bankruptcy to me…:)

I am worried about the reports in marca and GOAL!!!.
I know these people are trying to put us down because they are starting to get afraid of us…
But i am still deeply troubled by the current situation.even if we can payback all the money soon!! We shouldn be in this situation!!!Hope we get through this unscathed as after so many years there is a sense of serenity ,Hope soriano and CO takes us out safely and continue the good work..As for soler and his predecessors!! I would like to ask them never again to call themselves valencianistas!!..We will fight this also and come through!!!.Marchena has said Wages are secondary ,only thing that matters is the stability of our club!!!Thats a captain speak,eventhough i dont like his football skills.

And i purely hate the Barca and real fans who are making fun of our situation,They would love us to sell them our stars and see us rot as they feel threatened!!!

and the reports are from marca and der english spoksemen goal..is der any authentic report on this?like valencian newspapers or the official website..we all know we have financial trouble but the transfer window is approaching and i sense yellow journalism again by marca and co..
