Valencia CF 90th Anniversary Special

By: Cesar | June 9th, 2009

It’s been a tough few years. But for now, let’s relax and watch this sensational documentary chronicling the 90th anniversary of Our Beloved Valencia CF.

It was shown on Canal Nou last night and I’m proud to have the video links on the blog.
It’s simply fabulous and makes us appreciate why we’re VCF fans …

For a copy right reason, there’s no audio on video #2 and #6. Hmm …
Most of us will identify with the images from the last two videos.
The historical images and videos are wonderful, though … it’s really well done and quite a treat.

To download the entire video, please go here.

Thanks to reader Steef for a heads up on the videos … enjoy and let us know what you think!

AS is reporting Emery wants to loan out Renan. There are no quotes in the story, so I don’t put much faith in it. Also, it isn’t in any of the Valencia papers websites, so… It is on goal.com though! LOL.

    AS Story

While I already mentioned that I doubt the story RIGHT NOW, Emery wanting to sign Claudio Bravo, Cesar’s contract renewal being put on hold, where does this leave Renan, this goalkeeping situation is very strange I think…

Hi, Well I am glad that Emery can see the worth of
fumble-hands Caesar. There is hope for him yet.
Nacho. no-no, we dont want any more players that havent played for a year and we have Del Horno already to sit in the stands nursing his Achilles Tendon. Lets go for these fit youngsters that have played all year and have a very good goal average like MIKU. If they are not going use Gaita, I hope they loan him out. He has the height and I thought he had great potential but he needs a year in goal to develop and we could have a good one…….Almendras

Im glad they’re loaning out Renan (id rather they sell him as he isnt that great and takes a non-EU seat), finally someone at our club can see how average he really is.

Fayez mate we are on the same page ;) Get Claudio Bravo (always rated him highly) for 1,5 to 3 million, should be a good one for us. I also read Superdeporte says we are very much interested in Bruno (Almeria) and Sergio Sanchez (already reported here). Next to that, they are still tracking Granero but dont know who to contact, Madrid or Getafe. I say lets use Renan, loan him out to Getafe for one year and than include him in some deal with Granero. Or better, get Ustari from them and give them Renan hehe…

Btw SD reports the only way Valencia will transfer Villa to Madrid is when they include Negredo in the deal. Reportedly they are asking around 40 million plus the player!

Smart negotiating. I wouldn’t take any ish from Perez – 40 plus Negredo is a fair price, especially when Portuguese maricas are going for EUR 94 mill.

50m euros + Negredo + Granero for Villa and Albiol!

Only thing i dont like about the deal is this.

I think Villa is worth more than 40 million. And i dont like Negredo.. he is a Madridista. Not a Valencianista. Villa is loyal and a proven great striker.

Negredo has had a decent season but wants to play for madrid.

And Negredo is Madridista… who cares. Xabi Alonso is BASQUE and he might end up at Real MADRID.

the 50 mill for villa and albiol deal is a bad deal! we shouldnt lett albiol go! nt cuz hes hard to replace, cuz we r already bringing mathuie and a right back! so 2 of our starters will be new, and i dnt think we should bring a 3rd new guy to replace albiol, it would be too many new faces in the defence and they would need time to adjust which we might not have and we cannot afford thier mistakes!

Who cares about that Javier? Remember Mata? He is Madridista! Remember Morientes? Madridista! Players dont really chose where they have their youth training, what they do chose is which team they wanna continue their carreer and it obviously has been said enough times that he would think it’ll be great to play for Valencia, so why not??

Granero + Negredo + 50 Million for Villa + Albiol. In the words of Jesus the Allmighty: you got yourself a god-damn deal :P

Btw, any of u guys noticing DeAlberts bad hair style? Cause i just found our best new cash cow! Dealbert and Alexis should join forces to rescue our dear club in a way they do best: porn! Haha these dudes look like a couple of gunthers in a bad german porn movie (so ive been told…?), they should surely be able to fund our club enough with some awesome new movies!! With the Bunnies, that makes one hell of a combo!

how much is granero worth?i guess for villa we are getting 40+negredo(12m approx market value) and for albiol 10 + granero.. i would say decent deal..
but all this just when in superdeporte interview albiol said he wants to play in his land :(

The deal looks good on paper, but our defense is severely lacking, and letting Albiol go will make it worse, especially when no replacement is included. Add Miguel Torres, and – in the words of young JW – you got yourself a G.D. deal!

Not to mention the fact that Albiol is a true Valenciano – he scores own goals, but he loves the bat-encrusted shirt just as we do.

So who would u guys want to leave most of our defence. We need a 22 man squad, meaning we need just 4 defenders. We now have:

Albiol, Alexis, Dealbert, Maduro, Marchena, David Navarro.

Surely the last one wont be with us, but from the other 5, who should go?? I hope for Marchena, but that i doubt will happen. Guess we dont have the luxury of deciding who goes and who stays, and Albiol brings in the most money… Tho i must remind u all, Llorente said Madrid wont buy 2 of our players, they are only in the market for Villa and thats it. But personally would agree with the given offer…

Well of the defenders you mention i see both Marchena and Maduro as defensive mids. Especially Marchena is much more suited for that position coupled with Fernandes as he is defending i think.

Besides like this season has shown having some defensive backup is not a bad thing as people can get injured…
