Look, if the moves that Soler and Koeman made with the 3 ex capitains solved the problems or made some head way, I would agree, but the team and effectiveness on the pitch when to down the crapper. Was it personal? Who knows? But Soler and Koeman’s decision making is questionable and their treatment of players deplorable. They are ruining the club and traditions.

Shameful affair.. I think everyone pretty much figured out by now that the root of this whole fiasco is a falling out or ego clash between Albelda and the other captains and Koeman. There is absolutely nothing “sporting” in a decision to drop 3 players who are by no means the worst in our squad (think Arizmendi, Mora and Helguera) at a time when we were stretched thin. I mean lets be serious, why in the world would we play Mora when Canizares is available for “sporting reasons”? And Arizmendi? I think it’s pretty clear how useless he is, I’d take Angulo anyday and I do think Angulo is pretty terrible himself..

That makes no sense. First, Albelda has some good years of football left and he has the right to play.

Second, he wants out, and that has NO bearing on how well the Spanish National Team plays.

Most teams never win national trophies so shut up at least we make it to the world cup and euro every time. When was the last time the UAE made it to teh world cup?

Now that said he was never given a chance to leave teh club because he couldnt go to any major Spanish club and his tranfer fee was set rediculously at 40 million. Theya re simply trying to ruin him. This is not a club that said thanks for teh memories and lets part ways and let us help you find a new home.

these 3 players were all good. Aged vets but compared to Arizmendi , Helguera and Mora who have all had game time thats just plain stupid.

Albelda.. not proffesional,… why would a team lett him if they dont want him,, albelda is just trying to get revenge in any way,, the club wants money and they would sell him for a dime,,, its not like hes a great player! i dnt like him at all,.. never did! baraja is so much better than him,, hes like marchena,, why is he playing in valencia,, i dnt know,, why doesn he play for SPanish national team,, i dnt know,,, they just do!

First Hoser,A blog is just a writers opinion and even though I rarely comment,Im a fan of Cesar’s blog.
Now first lets clear some air,Valencia’s way of getting rid of our 3 ex-stars was absolutely wrong.
Imagine Angule saying he was informed on phone.Im not saying they deserve the right to play but my point is why waste their lives?
If Albelda isnt good enough to stay in Valencia CF,dont you think it will be a plus for us if he plays for R.Madrid?Isnt he supposed to make the opposing team weaker when he plays for them?
If Arizmendi gets playing time just because he is a ‘fighter’ then dont you think Angulo puts more passion into the game than Ariz?
My point- Our board sucks BIG TIME.Soler was quiet all this while and now he says it was initially supposed to be a 3 match ban.If it was extended because of the media attention,then why hasnt Angulo been called back?So far-Up until now that he said 2 players sold out,he has barely said a word since December.
Carboni was wrong for a number of reasons(He wasnt a good SD in my opinion-Yeah I know he brought Alexis,Hildebrand and Sunny) but I dont think its time to discuss that now.
Im realy pissed with the club also and I know a lot more people(fans) who share my views.

Well technically Albelda can’t be traded to another Spanish team due to the winter transfer policy in Spain, so that’s not really Valencia’s fault either.
