The Last post…………ever

SO. Here we are.

For the last time in the history of mankind, Valencia will take the field for a game of football. The arena will be a sold out Riazor, where Depor will be desperate to give their passionate fans the option to go to their graves knowing that their side was a La Liga member at the end.

Hopefully, not too many players will be Raptured up to heaven during the game, or it could become a bit one-sided. A look in the official rules of football will illustrate that FIFA have completely failed to make in rules in the case of this happening. There is no mention of the proposed “if a player is Raptured at any point, a man from the bench can take his place. This does not count as one of the three alloted substitutions.” rule. Very disappointing from FIFA again.

Ah well, the joke is on them, seeing as all of these years they have worked hard to become the most corrupt, money-spinning organisation in the world has come to nought because, needless to say, God is not very impressed. WEH Sepp Blatter.

Ladies and Gents, it has been an honour. Valencia has brought joy and heartbreak to the hearts of all of us, but in the end, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

And when St Peter grins from them pearly gates, whether you are going to him or not, the only word dancing on his lips will be:

“AMUNT!”

PS. enjoy the show.

    Fayez is right it has been 9 days we are falling behind.
    It would be good I think if a update came but I guess nothing really interesting happened except for:
    Albelda accepted a renewal, Guita is going to renew his contract tomorrow, Renan father died, Mestalla promoted to the Segunda B they won 0-3 on aggregate against Alcobendas, Soldado missed out on friendlies against USA and Venezuela,Unibet won’t be our sponsor for next year, Emery renew his contract and Gameiro has shown his interest in joining us and Rami can’t wait to play for us next season.
    Nothing is really big except the renewals and the death of Renan’s parents.

    Hi Martijn, Historically I believe the ‘Wanker’ was actually Banega and not Miguel.I think something is being overlooked here and that is. We waste players. There are 5 or 6 discontented unruly players. It is too much of a coincidence. We pay good money presumably for good players.
    What is the common denominater here. A Trainer who gets in their face and up their nose. Remember this and see it repeated next season.JOSE was right nice guys do not make great footballers so you have to learn to handle the agressive ones……….Almendras

    @Almendras they are professionals they shouldn’t behave like that in the first place and if an adult acts that way I don’t think anyone can change them that much, I would choose hard work over talent a million times because if you work hard enough you can exceed you limitations but someone talented that doesn’t do anything good will help but not that much, and the problems that they have caused are simply to big and no one and I repeat no one will play them they are just looking to sell them.
    @7amanito
    Chori wants to stay at Valencia is only because he thinks Emery will get fired, and I can’t see any decent manager playing him but would you like him to play? I personally won’t let him play and Isco will get his position anyway.

    @ Jafar
    You can not change characters of players and you will always see such character battles in an organization. That they get millions for playing doesnt mean they work with everyone. Look into every company, if the key employees cant work together than it just doesnt work. Or if the boss can not get the most out of his / her team. Thats what Emery’s flaw is right now, he cant handle egos.

    so we’re getting 15 million euros for 5 years with the Joma.
    they say Kappa paid less. i think i read somewhere it was 3.5 million euros. no?

    @7amanito
    maybe it’s 15M a year teams such as Liverpool,Manchester united, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Chelsea get 15M or more a year from shirt deals so we may get that much as well which would be nice but unlikely, but I don’t know how much we get but I do know it’s more so I am fine with it.

    @7amanito
    Maybe there is any other deal involved such as getting more money with the position at the end of the year which will add up more or getting high in the CL or Copa, I don’t know but it has to be more than Kappa or else it wouldn’t make sense.

    I cant remember how much Kappa were paying us but it was more than Nike were back then. I dont see any logical reason for us to sign with Joma unless 3.5ME per season is the highest offer we got from anyone.

    cornercorner
  • Fayez |  June 3rd, 2011 at 6:56 am

    cornercorner

    Well a quick search and most of the sites suggest that Kappa were going to give us 5.5ME for 3 seasons (so that about 1.85ME per season).

    If that is true then this new deal with Joma is better and almost double what previous deal.

    Now let’s just hope we get someone to sponsor us now that unibet are gone.

    It is unfortunate that La Liga is not good in marketing itself like Premier League,Bundesliga and Serie A or else we would have gotten a lot more money than we do now, I mean Liverpool get about 15M a year for the shirt deal alone and I think that is ridicules yes they used to be a top team but they aren’t now and we are doing better than them so I would image to something in the region of 5M a year but I guess how the league presents itself plays a big role in it.

    I have to disagree with that Almendras.

    I think Miguel is an exception even from the other unruly players. He never lived for the sport fully even before, with other coaches, he continued to smoke and drink etc througout his carreer. That is what i mean with bad example. Now this season he even got himself incvolved in a shooting incident among other stuff, i mean seriously wtf?

    A player having a problem with the coach is one thing and that kind of problem unfortunatly heppen. But what Miguel has been cooking lately is of a different order and magnitude and given his past i sincerely doubt he will better his life under any other coach as well.

    @Jafar : I dont think we can compete with Liverpool atm as they have a bigger fanbase and their history as a club is full of trophies…but what about Spurs and some of the teams in the teams in the Bundesliga? Thats where I agree and I think we should be able to market ourselves better than them (we’re certainly a bigger club in terms of local and European success).
