Nothing meant there. Ok, it was a 'joke'. Bit hard to tell on the internet. I personally agree to forget about it. :)

Ali, that's a little too much there. Anyway, there's the different national flag thingo at the bottom to differentiate between you all, as well as the writing style... Nobody could ever mistake you for someone else...

Well, just reading this post makes me angry. How could it be that such a big club, that earns so much from broadcasting rights and what-all go into the red in such a short time. I only started following Valencia in the middle of last year, so I wouldn't know the long story that must be behind this all. However, I'm certain that at the very bottom, from a long time ago, something must have been festering at the heart. And it's just this bad season that's thrown appearances off their precarious balance. The emperor has no clothes.

I remember, I started liking Valencia because I liked Villa from what I saw of him during WC06, and then I looked VCF up and found that they had a great team and the rare policy of actually nurturing young talent whether from within the youth team or bought from outside. I thougyht then that within the next few years they would have a truly outstanding team made up of players who belonged to the club in every sense. Turns out we won't be seeing that, at least for a long time.

You've drawn out a terribly dreary but frighteningly convincing portrait of the situation at the club. But I'm wondering if the management could have kept the information of their desperate financial straits from getting out. At least that way the club could possibly have bargaining power (if they could also get the players to shut up for awhile).

Oops, my bad, just found this blog and decided to give my views.

Like a lot of clubs, the amount of money spent doesn't necessarily mean the money is there - it could be a long-term deal or could be dependent on the club doing well and having European football for next season. Clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal are heavily tied to their performance - one bad season and it's difficult to recover.

I saw a report that Voro doesn't want to stay and wants to go back behind-the-scenes? Don't blame him, actually, if he does go back behind-the-scenes he'll at least have a stable job.

Look Valencia has been in over their heads in the financial board room for the longest time. It's about time they try to set things straight. Their saving grace is the new Mestalla, but that is years away.

Manzano is not that bad. He has done pretty well with Mallorca and is new blood at least to Los Che. Of course i would rather get Marcellino or Emery but it looks like Sevilla, Atleti and others are after our main targets.

Oddly Manzano was a professor before he was a coach back in the day, so he has the teaching talent and psychology experience in his bag of tracks. Sounds like a decent fit for our team. He won the Copa Del Rey with Mallorca. Hmmm. Let's wait and see.

Ali, it’s okay mate, people are allowed to have whatever name they want. Your posts have become pretty familiar to any regular reader. Plus you country comes up as UAE whereas the other Ali comes up as whatever country you are in (I believe). That’s sort of like asking all the Ronaldo’s of the world to change their names.

On the point at hand, yes Villa will go. But he has to go (IMO) for at minimum 25 million pound, no less. Joaquin may leave but I reckon either Gavilan or P Hernandez will be able to fill his spot. Silva, I don’t think has much chance of going. He is simply too much of an awesome proposition to Valencia.

While I understand our debts are bad, they cant be that bad if we buy players like Banega for 18 million (as far a I remember). While I think we can all agree Soler is a fat money hungry idiot, I don’t believe he is financially dumb enough to spend 18 mil when we areas bad off as being reported.

Now reading on goal.com that Voro says he won't mind being coach next season if he gets the chance, and that this team can "improve". (improve.. finish 12th next season instead of 14th)

Unbloody-believable... pretty soon there'll be a total clear out and you all will be seeing me, Timothy and Cesar in Valencia kit runnin around at the Mestalla, because they'd hardly be able to attract anybody else to the sinking ship
