It was truly a pleasure to meet and watch the match with the Hemingway-esque–considering both men’s love for Spain, along with their writing abilities, it’s a fitting comparison–writer of this excellent blog, Cesar, and the avid Valencianista Daniel this weekend at Nevada Smith’s in NYC. Although the match certainly didn’t go as well as we would have liked–far from it–it was good to actually have a like-minded group of Valencia fans to watch the match with. Before the Marseilles fans came in we were the largest fan contingency there. So, thanks Cesar and Daniel for the hospitality and company. If you come to D.C. I’ll do the same, and hopefully I’ll be back in NYC before the season’s out. Regarding the supposed trial, it’s ridiculous, as others have said, get rid of Albelda and Angulo if they aren’t gonna play. A trial will do more damage than Koeman has already done. Angulo–I’m sorry if anyone is offended–is terrible, quite possibly my least favorite Valencia player of all time, and should get the hell out of Dodge. Be that as it may, I am hopeful, perhaps with much naivete, that our squad, with a little luck, can qualify for champions league and save our season. It starts with Recre this weekend; it’s a must win if we are serious about champion’s league. I, and all of us, will be watching. AMUNT VALENCIA.

This is all so ludicrous. I know we are all aware of how shameful this is, but imagine something like this at another club. Maldini having to take AC Milan to court? Gerard taking Liverpool? Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes setting their lawyers on the Man Utd hierarchy? Never in a million years. We may look back a year from now in Feb 2009 and say maybe this drastic action of ousting these three players was for the best when we’re in the Champions League knockout stage with Banega scoring a brace against Chelsea and Hildebrand saving penalties from Lampard (super wishful thinking, I know), but it will take some serious silverware to wash the disgusting taste of this whole ugly affair out of my mouth..

The reason he was sacked is because Koeman is an idiot. And if they have been removed from the squad well then bloody let them go already.. why does this stupid Soler keep them here to cause drama and hurt moral.? Like seriously WTF. Let them go and quit poisoning your well of players and fans. This isnt helping anybody.. and in the end we get some cash for them as well. Seriously am i taking crazy pills or is this just plain preschoolers fighting in the sandbox.

there are a couple of things i dont understand in albelda v valencia.if the reason the three were sacked is that they were picking on tim hilderbrand how come he is not being called by the club.also one of the sticking points about letting him leave is that he must not go to a top six club……if he is good enough to be considered ¨ too good¨ for our rivals surely he should still be our captain

and the two snides in the club anybody heard different from marchena and baraja

yea, I know it sounds silly and yet very funny.Hey..at least he’s not hurting anybody…

Now about Albi(albelda),what does he did to deserve this…??All that he ever do is giving 10 years of complete devotion…He’s almost like the heart of the club…
This goes the same for Angulo & Santi…they sacrifice a lot for the club….

And now came Baraja..with his ridiculous,unbelievable,unacceptable comment….
What on earth make him thinks that he’s a “straight person”…..???
By his comment..i’m sure he’ll be the one for sure to testify against Albi,Angulo&Santi…
Yea,it’s easy for him to make such comment since he’s not the one whose trap on Albi,Angulo&santi situation……

I hope everything will turn out fine for those 3….For the clubs..Hopefully they’ll finally find sanity…

Ok, very sad about the whole trial. I wonder if the club will cave into David Albelda’s demand and let him go.

That trial will tear the club apart. I strongly urge the club to find some dignity and settle.
