I just realised, if/when we sell Albiol we can get Sergio Sanchez and Dabo, Dabo will be competition for Bruno for right back if we sell Miguel whereas Sergio Sanchez could be moulded into a CB plus he is only like 21…maybe that is what Emery is thinking??….backline…

Spain doesn’t have a chance next year unless they return to Aragones system i think. They desperatly need wingers! the way they play now is predictable and thus defendable.

Put Torres where he belongs (the bench!) and play Silva or Mata out wide on the left and Iniesta on the right.

Spain were playing with 3 defenders today. Not only Ramos was never back, he was ahead of Fabregas for most of the game.

Riera is usually good, but didn’t do much today. Fabregas disappears on the wings (Maybe cause Ramos had pushed him out?) Mata was the best of the wingers. Probably should’ve come on much earlier.

Xavi had a lot of uncharacteristic bad passes.

USA defended like hell. They also played a very physical game. And some of their play acting was pretty annoying.

Now lets see what they do against Brazil (Or will it be SA and the Vuvzelas?)
