I think that is the worst game we have had for years!1 nil up and 10 down then a penalty then down to 9 men and the score line is 4-2? What was clear to me was that the players were not taking any advantage of the man who was sent off.If we play any game like that in when the season starts then I guess it is going to be a disastar!

Obviously,the management don’t think or are not thinking about getting any kind of re-enforcements.

cant believe some of the coments on here,we lose one micky mouse game against gods eleven and its mass suicide. of course we are better than last year.emery will need time.its not going to be brazil overnight..off to the tomatina now.

What to do? What to do? Selling Villa will help the team bring in much needed reinforcements in all areas of the pitch. But his is the shining star of Valencia. The only who can take Los Che to great heights. I’m stumped.

thanks for the compliment, I’m not From the USA I’m from Barbados… Parrying or not parrying does not make a goalkeeper reliable or unreliable. Marcos Brazil’s goalkeeper from the 2002 word cup parried the ball a lot but still was probably the second best goalkeeper there next to oliver Kahn. Once the ball is recovered by the goalkeeper or the defenders then parrying is acceptable. there is a difference between parrying and having soft hands where the keeper tries to hold the ball and it slips out causing defensive scrambles. Neither Timo or Renan have soft hands.

I agree with John; Timo is great but our defense needs a real leader; I would say we need a defender like Coloccini

Anyone else find that they want to slit their wrists as they watch this Valencia defense? The thing about selling Villa… Villa is more important to this club than anyone could imagine. He is the one thing that keeps the fans coming back to this team in spite of our front office acting like it’s staffed by monkeys. Villa is somewhat of a national hero in spain at the moment. Sell him, and watch how mad people get. Just my personal opinion. There are several superfluous players throughout the squad that could be sold, and through them we could make up enough money to buy a single reinforcement for that defense, which is what we need. Keep Villa, but pony up some cash for that defender.

P.S.: I’ll be moving to Spain (Mallorca, actually) for a year at the beginning of September… I will be in Valencia for the Osasuna (i think?) match on the 21 of september, if anyone happens to be there!
