And in some way you are right about the motivation, cause against Barcelona we enter the game expecting to lose, but against RM we entered to win and look how it made us play, in my eyes certainly fighting enough. But, maybe its time for us to have a Guardiola move and set some new rules, fire half the squad and get some new blood??? Thats what ive been asking for for a long time anyway.

I apologize if I offended anyone with my harsh language, however I still think our team should do more than this.

It hurts when I see how Villarreal and Sevilla play with lesser players (at least in terms of salaries and price tag) and still manage to get results. For example, today’s game between Barca and Villarreal was a clear example of how much passion and pride these Villarreal players have even against Barca. They had 10 shots on goal and were leading the game and lost with pride. I dont mind losing if we had that many chances on goal against Barca. But when we played against Barca we barely did anything and Fernandes was the only player that gave it all he had. The players just switch off and the same happened against Madrid (but to a lesser extent). If all the players gave all they have like Fernandes and Renan against Madrid we would have won the match by a fair margin.
Those players at Sevilla and Villarreal get far paid less than our players but their results are almost as good as us. This is a clear indication that something is wrong and they should do more about it. Our club is in a financial crisis and our players have to honor their price tag and their hefty salaries and start playing like the 3rd best paid players in Spain.

So why cant our players give a bit more? I know we arent as good as Barca but why dont we give 100% effort in every match? I am 100% sure Villa, Mata, Joaquin, Baraja, Albelda, Miguel, Albiol and Marchena were capable of more than the display we saw against Madrid. I just dont think that display was good enough for Valencia against a depleted Real Madrid. We must not forget that Real hit the post twice so it should have been 3 goals for them.

We should stop blaming the refs for our losses and focus on asking more of these players. Their aim should be 2nd place this year. This is what lesser teams like Sevilla and Villarreal are aiming for.
