Javier,

When you talk about Arizmendi, we know you hate this guy... but he is a new signing, and he is trying him out to see if this guy can produce like he did last season. When Morientes played for Liverpool, he couldnt find the net. Comes to Valencia as was able to ressurect his National Team career by earning a call up before he got injured last season. I dont like the way Arizmendi playes either, but he didnt play against Schalke or Chelsea, did he?
QQ knows what his best line up is, but he also knows he has depth in the wings and forward positions and he is trying a rotation like benitez at liverpool. He is trying to get all of them to earn their paychecks and their spots. Not only that he is trying to keep all his players fresh. Its a long season, a long 50+ game season.
Did you know Silva is injured going into the National team call-up with a muscle soreness? Because Silva has played and started in every Spain national team game, Preseason game, Champions League Qualifier, and La Liga game since August. And except for starting the Espanyol game he has still played (70 mins.) Rotation is the only way to keep him and other players fresh. Valencia also belives in keeping Spanish as the backbone of the team, not europeans like Sevilla, and that has hurt them with call-ups for the national team. (7 this week!). Arizmendi needs more experience with his teammates and needs to work harder cause he is giving us all headaches with his play. If we can see that he is the man who helps these players play beautifully, jose mourinho got fired because he couldnt get Chelsea to play attractive football, but its hard when your best players are injured [[Villa, Fernandes, Albelda, Vicente (you all say him, not me)] and players who need breaks from tough play, and need rest before they start and play for their national team next week in (Silva, Joaquin and Villa)

Sry but i feel i should respond to this comment
"Just put this in perspective, The team has highs and lows. Its early, and now 2x’s your calling for QQ’s head.
He has 1win & 1loss in the CL, and 5wins & 2 losses in la liga."

In most cases i would agree with yout this is not a bad record. If i hadnt been watching the games and also who they were playing against. The Schalke game was decent and the Chelsea game was decent. All the liga matches we won we probably should not have and so far the only solid team we have come against in teh liga is Villareal. 2 of those teams were second devision last season.
Barely beating weak teams is not a good record.

But im not saying ditch QQ cause of the record. It not about that its about HOW we play. He makes piss poor decisions and latched on to weak players that arent performing (arizmendi). He leaves star players on the bench when they should be playing. And hasnt had a solid gameplan other than pass to Silva Pass to Joaqin to cross to Villa this season.

I almost cried when i watched the game because valencia lost and it was as if they didn't even care. Why Arezmendi is on this team God only knows because he is not valencia material, the Guy didn't complete one pass. If you are going to buy arizmendi why sell aimar????? That's the biggest mistake valencia made, you dont see barca selling dinho or messi for having one bad season. I think Valencia need to let quique go because we havn't played consistently sinds he has been here, and if we keep him we wil self destruct. I am a valencia fan sinds 1999/2000 and I havn't seen the team defent worse than this. People not many teams have a Joaquin,Villa,Vicente,Silva and Zigic on their team. One problem QQ has is that he is to scared to go for a game. When valencia play a big game they always play defensive you will never see manuel fernandes or baraja or edu when he is fit again wwhen we are playin chelsea barca or madrid its because he is scared to lose. Against Chelsea we played marchena and Albelda in my opinion to defensive the best way to defend is to attack and i am only sayin that valencia have the players to attack more than they do we just dont use them too wel. Look at Joaquin how defensive he has become sinds joining valencia that's way he is not on his best form. The only way we can get better is when qq leaves.

Franky, come on, you honestly think it's easy to compare Ramos with Quique? People aren't calling for Ramos's head for the simple reason: He's had success.

Ramos has won: 2 UEFA Cups, 1 Super Cup, 1 Copa Del Rey, and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
-Essentially, Sevilla's greatest period is happening under his watchful eye. Right now.

Quique has won: Well.... what has he won?
-And winning absolutely nothing buys you what exactly? Patience?

Plus I don't any team can simply write off the death of Puerta with a simple shrug and say "okay, well, Puerta's dead, but we've got a season of football to play, so let's do our best". Can it be that easy? Should it be that easy?

Franky, I have nothing against you being a Quiquista, although it's a position I can't understand, and I do find your comments to interesting reads, but to compare Ramos to Quique thinking they should be treated equally is a bit insane. Really, it is.

Oh and apologies to Ali if he wanted to say the same thing, since it was Ali's point you were addressing.

To Daniel,

In response to your comment, "QQ needs to realize that he does not have the tactical acumen to be coach of Valencia, and if we continue to suck like this over the next few weeks he should graciously step down and make room for a hopefully still available Jose."

Jose is not and will not be available to anyone for at least 1 yr. He signed a non-compete clause when he got his $40mil US. to resign. But if the "Special One" was avail. he would not come to Valencia. He would go to a bigger club. So lets put the Jose Mourinho stuff to rest. (bury it right next to the whinings of not having Sneidjer.)

To Ali,

"before you know it we are in 7th place in La Liga with all our pros players,..." check the standings and see who is in 15th place for that matter. Sevilla and their all beloved coach Juande Ramos who before the season was on his way to having a huge contract with Tottenham, no one is calling for his head at los rojiblancos. Capello last year started poorly with Real Madrid, but they still won the title. So hold on to your 7th place prediction, were in 4th and likely on the move up not down, even if you don't like QQ Sanchez, they have yet to finish outside the top 4.

To the Valenica-blooded Javier de Roque,

Your comments describing the QQ,
"We arent mad at the coach for losing a game well. We are mad at teh coach for losing a game and still making excuses."
When you have to go to a press conference after a loss, your gameplan foiled after 20 mins with your best player possibly out for an extended period of time, and the press asks, "Why did you lose today QQ?" He has to give a answer. When he is asked, "QQ why is your team not playing like last season?"
He has to give an answer.
He's not making excuses, he is thinking out loud of reasons why. Why is this group not playing properly. Maybe they need more cohesion. Time together to learn each others habits.

I have the passion for the club myself, and no matter what place in the standings they are in, I will support them(unless they sold David Villa). Having said that Im a crazy fanatic too, Im also an extremist. "I'M THE ONLY ONE ON THIS BLOG THAT STILL SUPPORTS QQ!"

He has 1win & 1loss in the CL, and 5wins & 2 losses in la liga.

In closing,

All account falls on the players. They need to perform, and need to be in better positioning on defense. The goals on the weekend is just terrible defending, and 2 times Albiol got beat the same way, once by Drogba and once by Luis Garcia. His positioning was terrible and his recovering speed is as quick as a snail. Not bad coaching that is a fault all on the player.
The coaching fault is having Albiol in the game. The management's fault is keeping him on the squad, and not getting a replacement, the teams GK's fault for not speaking Spanish and NOT telling him to get closer.
Aplause to Angulo for playing a great match though.
And will someone please tell all these players to STOP DIVING FOR A PENALTY. Its pathetic.

Nicely put Javier. I think to be blindly devoted to a club, that is to never raise a finger of doubt, is the wrong way to be a fan. I'm not saying that you should always put a club under some kind of Chinese water torture regardless of circumstances, but when a team is playing poorly it really should be a fan's duty to at least ask the question 'why?' Because if you don't, then you have to wonder why exactly you are a fan in the first place and if you even care. Of course, we may have different perspectives on what exactly the problem is, but then again that is what discussion is all about.

Cesar, as for your statement that Ayala is missed, sure, he is, but for me his in the past. I wasn't terribly happy with how he treated the club in the end - if he cared so much he would have said 'sell me when you can get a transfer fee', but that doesn't detract that he's a very good player. And for those of you who think if Ayala would have played against Chelsea this time and he would have stopped Drogba from scoring, well, he didn't the last time at Stamford Bridge. Have some of you forgotten already? here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MKAnffkaHQ
(the bonus is that you get to relive the sweet Silva goal)

yes, that was Ayala who was beaten on a mistake so that Drogba could equalize during last year's competition. So, come on people, cut Albiol some slack and give Drogba some credit as well. I'm happy that Albiol has been named to the national squad, he deserves it. In my opinion he was better than Ayala some matches last year, not often, but he was.

I guess it's a bit difficult to have discussions on a blog, probably better served in a forum, but still, the blog at least provides a perspective that people can think about. Thanks to Cesar to acknowledging the different opinions without trying to be judge, jury, and hangman all at the same time.

Oh and thanks to the people who comment. You make the blog more interesting - not that it isn't - but it adds more spice for a reader.

i posted this elsewhere but i think its also relevant here so ill post it again.

Ok i just figuerd i would start a thread to explain a little about Valencia fans and fans in general since some people here i have noticed are up in arms at some open critisisms of Valencia CF the team, the players and of course the management staff.

let me start off with teh comment that we dont know how to be fans. I think thats just a silly thought since valencia fans are in my opinion great fans and highly .. if not reliegously devoted to Valencia. I live breath and die valencia. I am Che i was born bred and bled valenciano. very few people on this foum can boast those credicials. valencia fans are emotionally in love with Valencia and just like when your love of your life does something like fail you or dissapoint you it just hurts that much deeper. Thats how Valencia fans feel. we feel a little betrayed.. like our loved one oesnt care how we feel .. doesnt care what we think.

So we arent bad fans.. we are the greatest fans of all. no matter what we love Valencia. But dont claim to be a better fan because you accept the team performing badly when we critisize it. They are both forms of appreciation. One is blind the other is active. I would not sit idly by while my wife drove a car into a wall. And neither will i sit by and not shout at my team when they choke.

Name one of us who wouldnt still go to a game even if we were on a losing streak. I know i would.. but if we lost i would still shout at the Coach to fix it or leave. We arent mad at the coach for losing a game well. We are mad at teh coach for losing a game and still making excuses. Many a time i watched Valencia Valiently lose. and i still applauded the effort... right now we are losing and nobody seems to care fromt he bench. Thats what we find infuriating.

Look at Vicente.. in my opinion one of our greatest Che. He critisized the medical staff not because he hates Valencia and the team but because he is frustrated and wants change.

But know this, that even so i still buy the gear every season.
I still hang on every word from every player.
I still watch and go to the games.
I still live breath and die with Valencia.
Because Valencia is my family.

and anybody who feels anything less has no idea what it means to be a Valenciano

i think Soler loves QQ for somereason.. and i think we should play against Barca and lose 4-0 or maybe 5-1 and then he will realise omg i need to replace QQ.. or maybe QQ will give him that concetrated face tht says " im trying my best to find whats the problem don't talk to me" ( when his eyebrows tie up together to form a bridge ) and Soler might say i think u got it! letts give u a chance. and before you know it we are in 7th place in La Liga with all our pros players, and then Van Der Vaart will say hmm thank god i didn't move to tht stinking team... Ouch tht is going to break my heart into 4 pieces,, its broken into 2 right now...
