New York-USA Che

By: Cesar | January 23rd, 2008

logo_agrupacio.gifSince I don’t feel like writing about the club itself today, I thought I’d start lobbying again for ‘New York Che’, the Valencia CF penya (supporters club) I’ve wanted to start for some time now. It could be NY Che or USA Che … whichever one you think. Either way, I’d like to start this. That way they know they have a presence here in the States.

This is from the official penya web site and pretty much sums up what we’d have to do to start an official supporter’s club.

My Spanish is pretty rubbish from lack of use lately, so excuse my translations. If anyone could help translate, please do so.

¿CÓMO SE PUEDE INSCRIBIR UNA PEÑA? (How do we start a penya?)

1. Número definitivo de Registro de Asociaciones, inscribiendo unos Estatutos en La Conselleria de Administraciones Publicas (C/ Historiador Chabas, nº 2 de Valencia). (Some number from some office? Help!)

2. Número definitivo de C.I.F. en Hacienda. (Another number? *Gulp*)

3. Listado de Socios, con edad, D.N.I., etc. (List of members … that’s you guys! Complete with age, Spanish citizen number, etc.)

(A bank account?)

5. Cuota de Inscripción de 174.29 €. (An initial fee)

6. Cuota Anual de 85 €. (An annual fee)

(Obligation to sell 150 Euros of tickets to the pre-season Trofeo Naranja … that sounds impossible)

(Cantidad que estime la Junta Directiva) (Obligation to sell tickets to the National Lottery ‘El Gordo’ … again, how can we do that?)

(We can only apply from September 1st until October 15th … ok, there goes that idea. Better to get started now anyways …)

Si tienen alguna duda pueden informarse en el 96 360 03 30 de 17′00 h a 21′00 h. (We can call and ask questions from 5pm until 9pm Valencia time)

(Penyas from outside Valencia need not pay the annual fee and initial fee (yay!) but we still need to sell Trofeo and Lottery tickets (uggh!) … )

Whaddya lot think? Let’s organize this and make it happen

You know I’m all in. If we were playing better right now maybe we could recruit some girls from the bar… Speaking of which we beat Atletico! (Any comments or analysis -a?) Didn’t see the game but from the report it seems like we should’ve scored more (Typical) and Maduro made his debut.

Brazilian Jo seems close too. Good addition, but you’d think that anybody familiar with what a good CB looks like could tell that we don’t have one right now and need one urgently… at least we tried for Vargas

Valencia completely dominated the game as soon as MOtta was sent off. 70 % possesion.. unreal. The shitty news was that we could not place a shot on target. WTF.

The new kids Ever and maduro are quite good they played a solid game. But i seriously miss morientes flying attacks .. he goes for the net these others dont seem to have the same drive.

Even Villa seemed to simply not shoot. More like hes acting like a midfielder. Morientes never acts like anything but a Target man. That said Silva played brilliantly and Miguel with Joaquin were just on. Vicente looked a bit slow to react but ultimately was making Reyes look foolish. Our defence was at times a bit nervous but i dont think i saw Athletico shoot at the net. Hildebrand was given and easy time of it.

In all only scoring one goal sucked but hey we are up one and now lets go to Madrid and make it to the next round. If we can win the copa del rey we will have salvaged something from this season. And frankly the best team in la liga is out so we have a sporting chance.

    Cesar,

go to aspasfc.wordpress.com and you can email our president for our Sevilla Supporters Club to see how he did it(I know mostly you have to open up a bank account, get a IRS Tax ID number and stuff, etc)

It may be worth your while to do it just to see what he says.

First, the ref was absolute crap. C-R-A-P! Clos Gómez is possibly one of the worst refs ever and I firmly believe he hates Atlético, he’s way too card happy.

Second, Valencia should’ve killed the game. I seriously can’t believe they survived with 10 men for about 70 minutes. You’ll regret that come the 2nd leg! I hope.

Reyes deserved to look foolish. He’s a waste of space & should have never been signed at all.

Try the official club website, valenciacf.es

Speaking of, is it just me or is that the worst website of any professional team in the world? Seriously a team with European ambitions shouldn’t have a website that’s 100 times worse than Levantes.

    muhahaha @-a

We won, that’s all that matters. And frankly we were 10 times better than you were.

And to complain about the ref, that’s funny. You won us in La Liga thanks to the ref, that was bogus refereeing. Last night I didn’t notice bias.

Motta deserved to get sent off.

JJ, you’ll eat your words when Atleti prevail in the second leg and advance to the next round! I don’t even want to think about the possibility of that not happening…

I never imagined Valencia’s site to look like that at all. Way too cluttered! It’s a threeway tie between them and Depor & Racing for worst official Liga website!!
