Having him at valencia would solve our attacking playmaker in the midfield problem.. along with Silva and Joaquin and once Vicente is back we would be amazing.

He is seriously one of the best attacking mids in the centre i’ve ever seen there are very few with his playmaking ability and he is fearless when rushing straight on the box.

I just read an article about Riquelme; http://goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=447113 Villarreal’s CEO plans to sell him in December. You think he will transfer to their city rivals? you think they are willing to negotiate with Valencia? Where could he go?

Wow, lots of English VCF fans, i thought we were a rare breed there seems to be quite a few i’ve seen on here. Anyway, loving the vids Cesar, and the memories.

I can’t add the Cup win of 99′, seeing as i wasn’t a fan then, but i became a fan during the CL 2000 season, the games v Lazio and Barca are definantly in my top 5. Especially the 4-1 v Barca, what a game, to hurt Barca like that in a CL Semi-final was fantastic, i’d love to see that game again, just watching that vid and seeing the celebrations of the crowds, makes me so happy.

I admit that my fondness for Valencia was spurned by the UEFA Cup victory. So my memories can only be somewhat new. Nevertheless, I really have taken the club to heart, though my most salient memories are kind of a mixed bag because, well, Valencia have been a slightly frustrating side these last few years.

In no chronological order:

-Opening a Toronto newspaper and seeing a picture of a wigged Carboni et al on top of their celebratory bus driving around the streets of Valencia.

-David Villa’s 3 goal bonanza in San Mames a few years ago. What promise he showed that season only to be somewhat restrained by a mundane coach and out of balance roster.

-Quique vs Carboni last year. This divided some supporters and even caused some to dig deep trenches so they could begin a workmanlike siege in order to defend their positions. In the end, I think they let the wrong person go.

-Inter Milan vs Valencia CL last year. With some look and a generous helping of catenaccio Valencia managed to beat runaway Serie A leaders in a testy two legged contest.

-Watching Valencia play Sevilla at the Mestalla, my very first experience watching Valencia live.

Actually, this is kind of chronological.

While im not a fan of Angulo he does serve his purpose as a fine tactical player if not an athletically skiled one. NOt all players show their skills on the feild. Now i would much ratehr see an impressive Playmaker like Riquelme or Vander Vaart in the centre..

Angulo is by no means a star, but he’s certainly not the first player I would clear out of our squad (well, actually he’s the second right after Arizmendi). As sub par as he is, he plays hard for the team and scores the occasional spectacular fluke (think last season away to Zaragoza) Guti is waaaaaay wayyy better than Angulo though, I’d swap Angulo, Arizmendi and throw in a Navarro for Guti anyday… And ironically enough I hate Guti.

Seriously, the player that needs to move along is Angulo. How many years can you play on a team and not move from the bench to the starting line-up before they realize, you need to go. Angulo was in your high-light video, and is still on the team and not a primary regular starter. Who is more disappointing, Angulo for Valencia or Guti, for Real Madrid.
ANGULO is old and been there for too many years, and hasnt done anything.
And by the way, no team will pay the buyout clause of 150 mill euros for villa. No one has ever paid the buyout for any player ever. Also, if Real didnt pay it for KAKA, they wont pay it for Villa and its the same price.

canizares is a grat goalie.. ill always love how he is club first always
