Malagas money shows no sign of running out

Valencia just sold Joaquin. for next to nothing. *&%$

Me this morning. When I read the news.

Me this morning. When I read the news.

Make no mistake, his influence and importance in the team has certainly dwindled of late, what with a great crop of players making a step up, But REALLY, Valencia is drowning in a quick-sand-filled pit of debt, we had to halt development of the Nou Mestalla, we need cash. Surely we can make sensible financial decisions? (like selling Villa and Silva for GOOD money to teams either already too far superior to us to be considered a realistic “rival”  or who play overseas)

Apparently not. We sold Joaquin to what promises to become a close competitor in Spains very own Sky Blues. The Andalucians have even less history than City, having never finished higher than 17th, but you know, that’s fine if a multibillionare Middle Eastern casually takes a wrong turn at Gibraltar and winds up in an admittedly beautiful port town and decides to turn it into the capital of the world (400m has already been spent of port upgrades.). They have already made some impressive signings, most recently today the quality france international central midfielder Jeremy Toulalan for 10m euros from Olympique Lyon. They look set to be challenging for at least top 8 this season and who knows how high after that. We have reason to be worried that they swear to be at Barca-Madrid level in 5 years.

Cheerio then. No playing well now you're gone, mind

Cheerio then. No playing well now you're gone, mind

So what do we do? Sell Joaquin to Malaga for small change. I can’t see 4m significantly helping the debt issue or strengthening the transfer budget, AND we strengthened a direct rival. This reality becomes even worse when you  consider that we signed Joaquin from Betis just 5 years ago for 25m euros! That is quite a loss. Llorente, WTF are you doing??

In other news, Mata along with Adrian saved Spain U21 again, in the semi-finals of the Euros, where they came close to an embarrassing defeat to Belarus. They eventually took their spot against Switzerland in the final after extra time.  That is one player that we cannot afford to lose.

And with that, I am signing off for a few weeks. Now that holidays have arrived this side of the world, a massive roadtrip to the middle of nowhere is in order! I’ll try to get to computers and such to continue to supply updates, but no promises. I’ll be back in civilization on the 6th.

Peace

Amunt Los Che

Martinez is easily better than Banega he can replace Xavi and Xabi for Spain and he as a lot more professional, seriously stop praising Banega for nothing because this season he hasn’t done a thing 09/10 is his only good season and will probably stay his only good one I think we should sell him if he becomes great somewhere else good for him but he won’t become good here mainly because of himself.
And Argentina are laughable they are beyond bad and I believe that is solely because of Batista, surely Maradonna is laughing his ass of right now I always was thought they shouldn’t have sacked him because the 0-4 v Germany was quite lucky on the German side they both play counter attack and the first to score would win the game (my prediction before the game) btw I knew this was going to happen.

Argentina are bad now but were bad under Maradona too, that man couldnt coach a team even if he was currently at Barcelona. One of the greatest players of all time, but the opposite is the case off the field and on the bench. Maradona is a person who can achieve the highest (and lowest), if he can do it himself. Thats the reason why coaching doesnt work for him, he can only talk, shout, thats it.

Lets talk about realistic goals for our underachieving positions! For example, lets get Gareth Bale for RB 8)

    @Johnnie
You mad bro I hope your joking because Bale is overrated and left footed and will be waay to expensive(40+Mil).
I can’t imagine you being serious about this because that would be your all time low lol.
But back to Arg what Maradona was doing was fine if he had more time because he was really making a connection with the players and could have worked out if he had more time(again) but did have that time and so failed, but this Argentina is soooo many times worse and it doesn’t surprise me one bit because it was so predictable(for me) that this would happen and lets not forget Argentina is quite lucky was well because they could easily have lost both games.

    ;)

Argentina has the squad to be in the top 5 of the world, no excuses. I don’t think Maradona has the capabilities to achieve that, nore did he do a good job with the team. I guess history shows that. On a brighter note, how about this 2006 Argentina goal, still amazing:

@Johnnie the only reason I said Maradona could have succeed was because of the squad and the bond he should have given to the players with each other so a bond between the players which often times is not there in NT’s.

And the thing about Bale is that it’s too outrageous even for a joke.

Jafar, I honestly hope Valencia are as stupid as your comments about Banega because I’d personally come over and pick him up if United were willing to pay the 30 million euros or so he’s, absolutely, worth.

i guess we discuse Ever issue last season hes just having a bad time ,he needs a guide
i agree with Jafar that he didnt do good but still he has something to show. common!! but lets give him time i think hes gonna be better with time & to be honest part of responsibility takes over Emerys shoulders coz he gotta motivate the players a lil bit
i actually want him stay but if we forced to sell him lets get a good price for him (just like what Llorente did in Joaquin transfer ) heheheh

For 30 million I’d fly to Europe and then drive Ever to England for you.

This ain’t the same Ever that was fantastic back in 2009…

    cornercorner

Ever will never get another season like in 09/10 and he won’t be great with us and there is a possibility he will have a bad influence on Piatti. I would sell him for 10ME if only he was English we could have sold him for 30 maybe 40 million lol.

you know what guys i have a feeling that we gonna sell Ever for a cheap price then he will do great at the new team (whatever the team is ) then we gonna bite our nails crying why we let him go
    WILL WE???
    PS.I HAVE A WIDE IMAGINATION
or( that what im afraid of) hahahaha

Nana, probably… yes :) Like fernandes btw, 2 million for such a quality player, unbelievable.

No chance we will sell him for his initial price, 18 million euros. Which he is worth btw, cause he has so much potential. I agree he needs more of a guide, some leader to follow, like all of Valencia btw.

Lets hope the coming season we will have true captains, that can lead the team as well as help youngster develop.

ever will be fantastic if 1. have a good physician
    2. have a good personal dietist 3. have iniesta, casillas, mata teach him some manners.
    4. give him to phelix magath, he knows what to do with fat players

Kyle its exactly the same player. A bad start to the season after injury doesnt change how good a player is. Else we’d have been selling Rooney for 10 million euros in Jan
    -
Banega is the best young CM in the world. In a few years it’ll be him, Fabregas, Iniesta and Sahin that everyone wishes they had in their team. Some of you are silly and dont appreciate the players you already have. Perhaps that goes for Emery too
    -
Now while I’m here, who was it that I told last season – that Javier Hernandez would score more goals than any Valencia player other than Soldado? Step forward disbeliever

    cornercorner

Lillo looks at Hernandez he is that good every overrated in fact, the thing about Banega is that I can’t see him become great here I know his potential and everything else but he won’t become good here because of the current circumstances we are and and mainly because of himself, he however will probably become good somewhere else(I think Inter will be good for him) and then I won’t bite my nails crying(nana) because he wouldn’t be able to do the same here, I mean Robben and Sneijder they wouldn’t be able to the things they have done in Bayern and Inter if they stayed in Real Banega will be the same. And we really won’t miss him that much when he leaves if fact I think we will improve even more.

    cornercorner
  • Lillo |  July 7th, 2011 at 4:24 pm

    cornercorner

He is already good. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Once a player shows you how good they are, especially at such a young age, one season where they arent as good doesnt mean much. If we were talking about multiple dissappointing seasons then fair enough, but 1 season where he was poor for the first half and then good for the second half is a ridiculous stick to beat him with. Some “fans” are far too fickle

  • Jafar |  July 7th, 2011 at 5:13 pm

    cornercorner

Lillo I am positive it’s best for both the club and Banega for him to go to another team, this is one of my predictions and I’m rarely wrong when it comes to these thing, of course I maybe wrong in this case but I don’t think he will improve from here on out and with Parejo and Piatti I don’t think he is necessary for us. We could keep him for another season to see what will happen but like I said before I don’t think he will improve, with Chori gone maybe he will but I think there is a higher chance that he will do the same to Piatti.

    cornercorner

And I agree that some fans are far too fickle and some are just stupid and demand too much but a lot of people think too hihgly of Banega, you should never choose a side unless you have to and always see things clear. I know how good Banega is and can be but I don’t think he will be able to fulfill his potential here, he(I think) is not the kind of player that will be able to that here.

  • Lillo |  July 8th, 2011 at 1:48 am

    cornercorner

Well I do think it’ll take moving to a “top club” (sorry to use the term but you know what I mean) for him to become the best player he can be, but thats the same with almost every player.
Fact is he was already brilliant for you the season before last and although last season wasnt as good, there were segments of good form. Banega’s vision is up there with the best in the world, Parejo and Piatti are not going to give you the same thing at all. In fact you could argue thats what stops Piatti being a top talent. And Parejo, despite being a talented passer, is not someone to unlock defences like Banega has proven to be.
2 years ago I was here defending Banega, last season I had to defend Mata… Now Banega again eh, these are your two best and most valuable players and they dont seem to get any respect. Is it because you already own these players so you arent watching their youtube videos or something? There seems to be a problem

    @ Lillo

Ever didn’t have a bad start to the 10/11 season. His form began to dip at the END of the 09/10 season, he was shit ALL of 10/11, and has been completely useless at Copa America.

    cornercorner
  • Lillo |  July 8th, 2011 at 8:12 am

    cornercorner

He’s been fine at the Copa America and was your best player for much of the second half of the season. Mata was the best overall and you’ll probably disagree with that too. As I said, some of you seem to have a problem with giving respect and gratitude to the players you already have and would rather have god knows who else
