Think Maduro has done fine as a right back. Only significant difference between him and Miguel is that Miguel puts in a harder tackle. Of course Miguel is also 4 years older.

The fucker hasnt given the players their salary this month !!!! What the hell is wrong with him and his promises? Cant he keep his word for once in his short presidency??

Baraja and Fernandes were always in the same position – they need to spread out. Both played dismal games and failed to control the midfield. Man, I can’t believe Joaquin didn’t flick that one in after a superb pass from Silva. Regardless, we were piss poor.

I will support anyone with money to buy the club in order to ease this burden and make us a damn club again. Everytime we’re mentioned it’s because of our poor financial state. I’m tired of it.

To be honest ive reached the stage where I have no faith in Soriano, Fernando or Emery!
Why cant we get presidents/trainers like Sevilla and Villarreal? Look at how well those clubs are run! Why cant we just get one good president and trainer?

Well, I was disappointed about this game to say the least. We weren’t the best team by any stretch of the imagination. Kudos to Villa for his excellent goal, another brilliant piece of skill from him as usual. Other than that, this game was pretty bad. I thought we would walk away with a win for sure. First of all, I was happy Alexis was back, but you have to admit, he screwed up quite a bit. So did Marchena. The passing in general was pretty sloppy, and the whole defense was pretty dreadful for most of the game. Joaquin was completely horrible today. A missed chance at goal, sloppy passing, losing the ball often, the list goes on. The midfielder I was really happy with today was Fernandes (I’m usually happy with his play though). I think he’s a really good midfielder, and not a lot of people recognize how well he does there. He totally deserves to start, over Albelda and Baraja….combined. He’s always hustling, and he always seems to pass the ball very accurately while under pressure. He also moves the ball away from the opponents well, he rarely ever loses it. He’s one of my favorite Valencia midfielders, and one of my Valencia favorites in general. Silva is also one of my faves, nice pass from him early on, too bad Joaquin screwed it up. Now, is it just me, or did it seem like everyone on Valencia got a yellow card today? Villa’s double yellow to a red was ridiculous. Aranzubia did a good acting job. Yeah, Villa knocked him over a bit, but really did we need the theatrics? Cesar did pretty well, until that goal from Depor went in (it was just a matter of time until they scored). Baraja almost saved us at the end, despite his rather silent presence throughout the game. Let’s just mark this down as another lackluster Valencia performance. On another note, congrats to Real on their 6-1 win to Betis. That was pretty convincing, you have to admit, they deserved that one, and also to Espanyol for beating their rivals Barca. Barca is starting to flop, as they usually do around this time of year.

Apparently Arsene Wenger wants to buy Villa…for £20m. HAHAHA! He has completely gone insane if this is true.

@Timothy Lakefront and kyle: hahaha, agreed! Villa is worth way more than that. What a crappy offer. He’s trying to be a wise-guy. He figures he can take advantage of Valencia’s situation. I heard Juve wants to buy Silva, not sure how much though, but yeah, nice try Wenger, not a chance.

Juventus’ offer was apparently 30 million euros, which is a very good offer for Silva.

As for Arsenal, I wouldnt believe everything you read… The 13 million or so they’ve paid up front for Arshavin is their club record. They dont pay big fees, they dont buy big name players and with Arshavin’s signing they most certainly dont need attacking players.

I couldn’t help but think about how we lost our edge. We used to pressure teams in their half, then get the ball and dominate possession. Now we sit back and get owned. We’ve become a piss poor counter-attacking team. It’s sad.

After watching the recent games, the one thing i felt strongly was there was no intent to control the midfield or press forward or create something repeatedly. It was more like they are doing something they don’t want to and are just trying to get by. I’m not sure why this is so, but its definitely not for lack of potential. This is the same team that terrorized defenses not so long ago.

Today again, our midfield had some purpose only after Depor scored one. Until then, we were simply trying a long ball into the box every now and then, as if to fill some quota. The intent, the urgency just wasn’t there. Our player who came closest to netting was Marchena, and he made several good attempts. Only, he was trying at the wrong goal post.

Next time Marchena plays, i’m calling it ‘The russian roulette, with Marchena’

Is that when a set piece comes into the box? And one time out of every six Marchena pulls a player to the floor a penalty is given.

Also when he gets the ball at his feet. He played a few passes straight to Depor players today, in very dangerous positions.

What a pathetic performance, if you look back you will see a pattern in our play of ” one goal, that will do”
We were down to 10 men and Emery made the mistake of making a change when Depor had a free kick at goal so we were down to 9 men as Moro hadnt time to get in position.
With the Depor goal the team revived again. I wish Emery could brainwash them not to slacken off till youi get 3 up. Emery also couldnt care less about 2nd b team robbing them of 2 men (Michel & Carlos David). The 2nd team lost and are now only 2 points from relegation.Would the result have been any worse if he had drawn Angulo, Pablo or Vicente from the bench instead.
Apart from the fact he has Torres, Carleto and Viana doing nothing. Use these guys or let the 2nd team alone. They have fought years to get back into 2ndb but carry on like this and they will go down……Almendras

Well we suck. Fernandes was great. Great control, great power, and great defense, too! Our defense was pretty piss poor, but this is the one game I can remember all seasn that I can almost blame the offense for! Just a couple good chances, 1 shot on goal (and our goal came off a Depor fuck up, don’t forget that).

ANd on top of that, we have this ref being an asshole. THat double yellow to Villa? You’ve got to be kidding. THe “foul” that set up the set piece for the goal? Not even close to a foul! Spanish referees are the worst on the planet, and that’s saying something with those Italians over there trying their hardest to be the worst!! Refs like this should be suspended or stripped of their certification.

Marchena was less than spectacular again for Valencia. Now that Alexis is back, hopefully Unai Emery will start Alexis and Albiol. Marchena could play DM, but I’d rather see him on the bench. A little song about Marchena… “Marchena is shit”
