I Hate Ronald Koeman and Cani to Chelsea?
By: Cesar | April 11th, 2008
Call me a curmudgeon, but this guy is the worst.
Not TinTin the cartoon character, but TinTin the Valencia coach … is that Joaquin pulling on his leg? More on that in a second …
Here, an article from goal.com detailing today’s Valencia CF press conference, where Ronald Koeman sealed his fate.
My dear readers, no matter what happens Wednesday, this guy is gone.
Koeman lashed out at the club hierarchy for not explaining the issues at the club to the media, as he feels that much of the blame has been placed on him, just because he is the most public figure. Or because he’s supposed to be the leader, but hasn’t led much …
Speaking at a press conference ahead of our 1-0 loss to Racing Santander on Saturday ‘TinTin’ expressed his frustration at being the only person who has to explain away the club’s problems in front of the media. Wonder why that is … maybe because you’re the LEADER OF THE CLUB????
“It would please me if others showed their faces at some point,” he affirmed.
“As the coach, you have to speak to the media two or three times a week and it is necessary to defend the team … it is not always possible to explain things in a way that put the team and the club in a good light. There are moments at which a light tap in the back is needed. Many things have happened since November, but I like to be the public face because that is my job.”
The directors have to see this guy for who he is … a headless chicken.
Speaking of headless chickens, Joaquin commented to the press this week that the team had been running around like “headless chickens” in a number of their game due to TinTin’s tactics, and the Dutchman indicated that he would have words with the Andalucian.
“Some things should only be talked about inside the club and not expressed outside. It was only last Monday that he was all for being united and now it seems that he has said these things so I will have to speak with Joaquin - I will speak to him,” he concluded.
Joaquin may be in trouble … maybe he won’t play for our club again … maybe he’ll be fired like Canizares, Albelda and Angulo …
UGGGGHHHH …
As for Santiago Canizares, word is he might turn up at Chelsea! CHELSEA!
The London Times say Chelsea are considering a move for Canizares, who is unwanted by Ronald Koeman at Valencia … he’d be an emergency loan, what with Chelsea’s calamitous keeper situation … Let’s see what happens …
Don’t forget: I need your Valencia songs for the Final!!! Great suggestions sent in so far …
AMUNT!!!!

Koeman get on your knees please. Replacement? No, not mourinho, but David Villa. David villa should be every where.

Koeman seems to think he’s defending himself with such half-arsed, mean-spirited comments, in fact he’s just further exsacerbating the situation because EVERYONE can see him for what he is! You know, he sounds my secondary school principal, overly fusty and with a knack for making others hate her.
Meanwhile, isn’t Joaquin the greatest! I feel he’s justified with those comments as he’s obviously tried the hardest in all Valencia’s recent games.

im coming to believe that Koeman is to blame more than i ever did, but yet i still blame our defense how they left ithcty score the second goal, and even the first goal was preventable if our defence were a true defence, plus juquin should go bk to Betis i think, i think hes fast and thts good for a winger, thats what a winger should be, but!! speed doesn’t do well if a player cant control the ball when hes sprinting! he has got n0 finishing!!! Morientes hehe what shall i say! i think our team need players, morientes, Edu, Moretti, juaquin (if he doesn’t get his act together)… im sure poeple will say juaquin is good and all, well names doens’t help, compare juwaquin to Navas( sivillas winger) juaquin is nothing to him! i swear im sick of getting defeated, defeated, deafeated!

Ali,U sick of him already???
Get Rid of Koeman 1st.
The Changes in the team can come later.
I think its more like Koeman CANT inspire the players.
I mean,we had our worst scoring run under Koeman, our Worst league challenge under Koeman.
I dont think that sh*t should be in charge of our transfers.I mean, who in his right mind would trade Manuel Fernandez over Maduro?
Banega was a good buy I admit but so far,Koeman has been sh*t all through.
I just hope and pray we dont get relegated at this rate.Posted from

Guys,Remember last season when we didnt win a game while Albelda was injured?
More like its happening all over.
The guy might not be the best on the pitch but u gotta admit,he knows how to motivate them players on it.You cant say QQ was our reason for results would u?Posted from

Good job Cesar, I completely agree. This guy has driven every club he’s ever been at into the ground and has always escaped magically to another club just as the fit was hitting the shan. This though, is just ridiculous. Blaming the club for not helping him interact with the media? A good club manager always takes the pressure off his squad and puts it on himself to let them play without fear. Just quit and let the club breathe again.

This is so terrible.. not only the have the players been sucked into a losing mentality but so have all of us. I mean let’s all be honest, how many of us in our hearts really thought we were going to win today? It’s just what we’ve come to expect under Koeman, defeat and disappointment.. I pray to God he gets fired before the end of the season.. I’d like us to beat Getafe, but that hardly matters if we fall from the primera

KOEMAN IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET ! After yesterday’s loss (that’s 5 in a row !)He said the team was better and merited at least a draw and only lost because of an offside goal. When asked about resigning he said, “I have a contract and I’m going to finish it. If we win on Wednesday and then get a few points I will be content”.When asked by the press what happens if they are 17th after today’s matches he replied “I have sufficient things to feel happy about” (I can only think of Euros).
I voted today in a Spanish football paper that I think Koeman should go BEFORE the cup final and I am glad to see that 57% thought the same way.If Valencia beat Getafe it will not because Koeman is there in fact the moment he goes, a big black cloud will lift from the team.Let me just go over some facts. Quique was sacked after the first 9 games and HE WON 6 OF THEM. In the last 9 games of Koeman HE HAS LOST 6 OF THEM,and won nothing.
Even worse, in the 21 games with Koeman he has Lost 12
drawn 3 and won 3. I hope ALI takes note of these figures
before he carries on with his support.
Surely it is time the Valencia Directors said “Enough!”
I live in hopes……….Adios from Alicante..AlmendrasPosted from

Sven-Goran Eriksson of Man city is said to might leave Manchester City for Scolari, he might be a good replacment, hes got the skills the tecnics and the experience, lol poor Koeman he came tp Spain to glow and all he goot is stains on his reputation as a coach! Almendras im coming to see that Koeman isnt the man for valencia, i give u tht, but people always should get a chance to fix thier mistakes, as for Koeman i dnt know why he still plays 4-3-3, specially whn we dnt have strong built strikers like nestelroy or drogba, but yet again, i cnt blame him fully,, for gods sake look at out defence! they just dnt have the talent, they r not fast enuf, they r not smart enuf to predict whts going on! 50% koeman 50% players are to blame!

hi all
i dont know hoe koeman plays !!!
Hildebrand, Caneira (Miguel, min.61), Alexis, Albiol, Moretti, Marchena ( Midfielder !!!! ), Baraja (Arizmendi, min. 83), Edu (Villa, min. 61) Silva, Joaquín ( No Left Winger !!!! )y Morientes.
the Only Excuse we can accept is that HE DIDN’T WANT THE MATCH FOR REALXING PLAYERS FOR THE CUP FINAL .
N.B : we were defeated by an offside goal and ALBIOL IS A GREAT DEFENDER he did unmark him to let him in the offside trap BUT a **** referee made a small mistake !!Posted from

I want Koeman to go too but I would like him to go on Thursday morning. Basically, the Copa is the only place where Valencia have played well (and knocking out Betis, Atlético Madrid and Barcelona en route, it’s not exactly been a walk in the park). We need to win on Wednesday, as we want to be in Europe next year, and furthermore there’s a matter of pride: Angel Torres, president of Getafe, has been saying some objectionable things lately (such as the whole of Spain, except Valencians, will be supporting his team on Wednesday because they are the only ones who deserve it, hinting that losing to Bayern Munich in the Quarter Finals of the UEFA was a greater achievement than what we were capable of, forgetting that we lost to Bayern Munich in the Final of the Champions League on Penalties… now, however well Getafe played this week, and by all accounts it seemed pretty good, you cannot compare the two… one is far more disappointing to lose… especially as we’d lost the final the year before in Paris. I was at both finals and trust me, when we lost against Bayern in our second consecutive Champions League final, the disappointment was bigger than anything Getafe could ever dream about being disappointed over).
What particularly hurts is that we have to support Getafe today against Zaragoza. And there are some who are worried that Getafe will not play their best against Zaragoza, as they would love to see us be relegated.
I’ve never been a fan of Getafe, they have quite a lot of racism there, a friend of mine a few years ago was at Getafe-Valencia and most of the crowd (not an exaggeration) appeared to be doing monkey-noises at Sissoko throughout the match, he was disgusted. You can see the press for some of Getafe’s coverage…
http://football.guardian.co.uk/continentalfootball/story/0,,1476283,00.html is a long article in the Observer about it, and how the Getafe “fans” even insulted their own black players (not that insulting the opponents’ black players is any better, but it just shows how even more narrow-minded the Getafe lot are).Back to Angel Torres, I think he summed up how clueless he is, when he suggested in 2006, to show that Getafe was against racism, he suggested the team and personnel should all come out with their faces blackened up with boot polish. (!)
So, on Wednesday there’s much more to play for. It’s not just to get a European title, it’s to kick Angel Torres and his silly team back into reality.
I’d like to see Koeman go on Thursday, win or lose (although let’s not forget we have to pay €9m to Koeman for breaking his contract before the end of the season, but this may be worth spending). But this will not mean we would necessarily become a better team, with an uplifted morale. Óscar Fernández’s first game in charge after Quique was ejected was 1-5 against Real Madrid, in Mestalla. Losing against Madrid is not embarrassing, but 1-5 certainly does not show that suddenly our morale was lifted. Basically, it’s not guaranteed. The only thing that could lift the team would be if Albelda/Cañizares/Angulo were to be allowed to return for the end of the season, following an early Koeman departure. But solely Koeman going wouldn’t be enough.
Anyway, going to pack my bags for Wednesday’s match, I can’t wait. Going with four or five other members of the UK fanclub, Che-UK. However, had we played at the Bernabeu, we would have been able to bring many more. Whose idea was to ask for the venue to be changed to the Calderón? Oh, step forward Angel Torres, who found that he was outnumbered in last year’s final, in the Bernabeu, against Sevilla, so wanted the venue moved to the Calderón (which is even closer to his Madrid club Getafe) meaning that there were 30,000 fewer tickets available. Boo hiss to the Spanish FA for bowing down to the request, and to the Valencia directors for not causing more of a fuss, too.
Amunt, ara més que mai!

My favourite Koeman comment of the last few days - “I don’t see what all the fuss is about, we are one of the few clubs in Spain that is still genuinely in with a chance of winning a trophy!” Genius.

Yes Lee genius indeed. Koeman (if we beat Getafe): “See? We are the Champions of Spain! I am satisfied, even if we get relegated, because I won Valencia a trophy! I am a champion!”
