Does This Mean Carboni’s Leaving??
By: Cesar | June 15th, 2007Ya ya, there’s a game this weekend. Who cares? (Ok, I admit to caring because I’m actually going to be able to watch it at the local pub.)
But in the news of the day, Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen has turned down an offer to rejoin us on a two-year contract. (Read the article here.)
Arnesen reached the peak of his playing career at the Mestalla when he played for us from 1981 to 1983 before moving on to RSC Anderlecht.
Big news, because this means Joan Soler’s made up his mind to boot Carboni and keep Quique, right?
But hasn’t he also been looking for new coaches? Lippi, Schuster, Ramos?
Oh, this is so confusing …

Yes, this means Carboni is leaving, yuppie…! Regarding Quique Flores, he really did his best, despite the injury of most of his key players across the season. He deserves another round.

Carboni’s doing a good job I don’t think he will leave. Arneson? unbelievable that soler inquired him, QQ trumped up this news!
look he just finished the season with an ugly game last night.Posted from

I really hope Carboni stays, the guy’s a workaholic considering how many signings he’s made already before the transfer window’s started:
Sunny, Hildebrand, Mata, Alexis
I also like his taste in players much more than Quique, who seems to prefer the Arizmendis and de la Penas of the world compared to the Sneijders…
Quique imho has tried his best, but there are better coaches out there as some of you have already stated, whereas there aren’t many better Sporting Directors who are willing to sign for Valencia (both Monchi and now Arnesen have turned us down).
my two cents

Did Monchi turn us down?
By the way, anyone been watching the Gold Cup?
Angloma’s playing out of his mind! Would he like to rejoin us??Posted from

As player or assistant to Carboni (if he stays).
I also like Amedeo’s taste in players much more than QQ.
Geez Arizmendi. Pleasssse. Really shocked when I heard it. I think he had just one good a game when Madrid started off latter half of this season in the Riazor. The rest, I’d go with Angulo on good days!
