I think your all being overly harsh.. it was a back and forth game with both sides having opportunities to win. valencia was up quick and Villareal played hard to score thier two. Did we deserve to win. Sure.. but Villareal didnt exactly deserve to lose. Due to the hard work of both teams each team should have taken 3 points. Instead we each get 1.

I agree it was nonsense…but we shouldnt have let them get into that situation with only less 10 minutes left at home when we were winning by 2 goals at the 11th minute.

We are playing amazing football…but this type of football will never win us trophies. Im just afraid it might cost us a CL spot in the end.

Is it just me or did this match remind you of the Betis match? Something wrong happens with the team when they are two goals up.

@ Timothy : Whether it was a penalty or not I think we have no excuse to be winning 2-0 at home and then from 3-2 with 10 minutes left we still end up with a draw.

There is no excuse for this. We should have just wasted time or kept the ball in the midfield. There is no excuse for us getting a draw. Our midfielders and defenders are just throwing the work our attackers did down the drain.

One more thing, kudos to Albelda for a man in the match performance in a position he has never played in. I really wanted us to win for his performance only. He is miles better than that useless “defender” Marchena.

Im convinced now that we need a new experienced CB. Marchena just shouldnt be there. We will never win anything if we let in so many goals in each match. Still this is an improvement from the 3-0 last year. However, it only means that our attack is better than last year and not our defending. Albiol leaving really hurt our defending, but even before that it was still very leaky.

Its a shame we wasted so many clear chances on goal. Im not so sure the penalty wasnt a penalty but on the other side Mata was man-handled in an even more aggressive manner and we didnt get anything out of it (not to mention Baraja was grabbed in almost a similar incident to the one Joaquin was involved in). Maybe our players should learn to fall (dive) like Cazorla did.

I just feel like shit…we had the match in our hands (we could have won 5-1 at least!) and the draw feels like a loss…something has to be done about our defending.
