Man, I love this blog but this is just too much for me … Trivia with numbers, stats etc. is boring as hell, it reminds me of really BAD footie commentators who are not watching games but just hammering out stats from their laptops.

I dont feel like browsing Wikipedia so I’m answering the ones I think I know from heart:
    3. I’d say Argentina
    4. I’d say Di Stefano
    7. Carboni?
    9. Edesa

I have a counter-trivia question for you, Cesar: from which club did Zlatko Zahovic (the only Slovenian who ever played for our beloved) come to Valencia in 2000?
    No Wikipedia, man…

Ha! Just a way for us to forget our problems for a day!
    Quin, pretty good.
    Johnnie, very good.

    Answers come 2morrow.

Hmm, where did Zahovic come from … a wild guess, but I will say Boavista??

    I’m gonna check Wikipedia now.

Wow, I was wrong … I won’t say the answer in case anyone else wants to guess.

Zahovic ALMOST won us the Champions League in 2001 when he had the ball in the box in extra time against Munich.
Wasn’t meant to be, I guess.

Cesar, Zahovic would have scored that particular shot if it wasn’t for Kahn. He was simply unbeatable at that time, the best goalkeeper in the world by a clear distance.

Quin, didn’t he completely misplay the ball?
    I don’t remember a save. I could be wrong.

Cesar, Zahovic received the ball a bit clumsily, he didn’t control it right away, that took him a second too long to make the shot, so Kahn could position himself properly… Man, that would have been a goal!!

Oh Cesar, a humble proposal for your streak, for another “day off”: a presentation of life & work of “El Matador” Mario Kempes, the greatest son of our beloved. People (I mean Valencianistas) just don’t seem to know (and appreciate) him enough. There should be some kind of historical reevaluation of our players. Seems like most fans know about Valencia players since mid-nineties and that’s s shame.
When you asked questiona a while ago (Kempes or Villa), almost everyone favored the latter. Man, I love El Guaje but he has some distance to go to to reach El Matador’s coolness in execution.
It’s a pity there’s not much video material on Matador available, someone should really publish a DVD collection…

@ AHMED. Here is Judas’ wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judas_Iscariot

Basically, Judas was the guy that turned Jesus in to the Romans so that he could be killed, if you believe what you read ;) Judas refers to a “traitor”. Some evidence suggests Jesus wanted Judas to turn him in to the Romans. Read the Wiki page. No one knows anything for sure. Believe what you want…

Hi at the moment we seem to be missing Miguel…Joaquin…Villa..and Silva for the Racing game.
How can we be so unlucky. I think we must call this The Koeman Factor, that man was a Jinx and he has left it with us. One bit of good news is that Zigic…Tchite…and Munitis will not be playing. The last two ran rings round our defence in our previous match in Mestalla.
Emery was hopping mad on the TV last night because Bosque is taking Villa and Silva for the two matches for Spain 28th Mar. 1st Apr. yet Emery is avaoiding using them himself….perhaps he will change his mind. Strangely enough, despite the pressure from Madrid, Bosque still will not take Raul, no doubt because they have never got very with him in the past.
To close, I must comment on FML. The old expression was
Fuck my luck as it rhymes nicely as in…I am a loyal Valencia supporter….FUCK MY LUCK.
    Adios Almendras

Kat: lol! You’re surely talking about me! Sorry then!

Sunday’s game is agaisnt Racing Santeder: Valencia’s bogey team. At least, they won’t play Zigic. But, I don’ know them very well. I hope we manage to beat them, this time. Valencia needs a victory to recover some of their morale.

    AMUNT VALENCIA!

    Squad:

    Goalkeepers: Cesar, Guaita

Defense: Curro Torres, Maduro, Alexis, Albiol, Moretti, Carleto

Midfield: Baraja, Albelda, Edu, Fernandes, Angulo, Pablo, Vicente

    Attack: Michel, Morientes, Mata

Out: Villa, Silva, Joaquin, Miguel, Del Horno, Marchena (suspended), Renan

    Wow, weak squad…

Weak… but strong enough to win agaisnt Racing.

Albelda and Baraja were ex-national player. Vicente has a potential dribbling skill that made him the best left winger in Europe some time ago. Fernandes is remarkable. Mata can create havoc with his constant treat. Well, the offense seems shaky as much as the defense.

@adimente. Are you serious? Have you not been watching Valencia recently? we have lost to 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the league and haven’t won on the road since in the league since November 9 v Getafe. We say every week we have a better team than everybody.

If we avoid losing the match against Racing we can be happy. We ceratinly won’t win.
Emery should give Carletto a chance from start, let him prove himself.
