Day 10: Memories
By: Cesar | March 26th, 2009It’s good to take one day a week to walk away from the current shenanigans at the Mestalla and remember Valencia when we used to be a football club …
Here, the 10 best Valencia CF goals of the last decade … according to this guy, at least …
What do you think? (No Aimar goal against Liverpool?)

I think QQ (or was it Ranieri) didn’t rate him. He was constantly injured and never fit.

Aimar’s goal against Liverpool should be there ^^
Amazing teamplay

As much as i consider Aimar a great player i also think you cannot construct a team around such an injury prone player. Because you get into problems as a team when he gets injured.

Some one translate this please….

@ Siva
dont have much time, but basicly its like this:Valencia tried to get a deal with FCC, the construction company building the new stadium. The idea was, sell the old Mestalla for 220 million to FCC, with a clause to buyback the land within the next 5 years, 6 % interest per year.
FCC declined saying the value of Mestalla is not more than 170 million at this moment, minus the payments still to be made (14 million), they would be willing to buy the Mestalla for 156 million! Since Bancaja is ruling the Valencia boardroom, they will have to decide to accept this deal or not.
Furthermore the club turned down the proposal to get loans from 20.000 socios, each loaning the club 10.000, so that we could get 200 million in socio-loans. But as said, the club didnt want to… Seems our future looks darker every new day…

Every day that passes we feel that Soriano was very stupid not to accept the 240ME that he was offered by Mr X.

Fernando has said that “we won’t sell Villa, Silva, or any one else FOR CHEAP”. Not that we won’t sell, just that we won’t be ripped off.
Also, David Silva has said that he will decide what to do (ie go to Liverpool, Juve, stay, etc) in the summer.

I was looking at the old valencia forums and found out that we have been trying to sell the mestalla for years. I dont know what to make of this, does this mean the club knew we were going to be in trouble ever since?

Man, why isn’t Mendieta a coach at Valencia or something he used to be my favouite player, seeing Claudio Lopez as well so many memories, now the club actually meant alot to him. Javier i got my tickets through ticketzilla.com because it was safer in case the Mestalla was actually packed for the Sevilla game, i didn’t want to miss out, still don’t mind meeting up before or after.
