Albiol Forced to Kiss Madrid Logo
By: Cesar | July 2nd, 2009
Raul Albiol is such a Valencianista, he didn’t want to kiss the Real Madrid shield (or escudo in Spanish) during his Santiago Bernabeu presentation today.
Albiol, who was sold to the capital club for €15m a few weeks ago, looked uncomfortable and uneasy during his big day. Even his cartoon caricature looked like it didn’t want to be there.
Don’t believe me? Take a look at the video on MARCA.
So the crowd of about 8,000 asks Albi-own-goal to kiss the logo. He smiles, walks around, scores an own goal, laughs some more, looks goofy, etc.
This continued for a few hours (actually, the crowd asked him three times) before a Madrid director pulled the new kid aside and said, ‘Kiss the shield or your family gets it.’
So Albiol kissed the shield, a small peck little kids give to family members they don’t particularly like.
Ok, it went SOMETHING like that. Maybe not 100% but something like that …
You gotta feel for the lad. He loves VCF just as much as we do …
Good luck, Raul. Score some goals for us against Saint Iker, ok?

Following on from the above, the Editorial on Canal de Valencia states that Soler, Soriano and Silla have SOLD THEIR SHARES to this Company (Which on the Val. TV teletext at this moment is described as “Anglosaxon”).
So therefore if Soriano becomes President,it will be on the new owners say so. What a lot of different news items.
I think the only thing is not to look for the next month, because no doubt that’s how long we will have to wait to be even a little confident for the futurePosted from

we wont know till monday and la rueda de prensa.
Now here is my guess. Llorete will be out. Soriano with 51% will mean he will more than likely reassume the presidency. I also dont think this will be very good for the club. I think Soriano is out to roll some heads of the people that pissed him off and forced him out.
So i expect a bloodbath. And alot of promises and more debt. I do think though that in the Long run having a single owner with 51% will offer stability to a club that has seen half a dozen presidential changes in the last year.

In todays lunchtime news canal 9, it was said ( ?? Ha Ha? )that the club would be managed by American owners.
Now we get the Liverpool problem that Benitez had with those that were used to a wobbly ball, and said (according to the Oracle Goal-com) why the hell cant you pick the thing up and run with it instead of a chance kick at it. W e are in for some exciting times next week.
By the way CONOR I read today that Mata has had an increase in salary which is about time as he is one of the lowest paid……Hasta la vista AlmendrasPosted from

Apparently Real Betis will let Emana go to PSG for €10 million.

Hehe, let’s start a flag-a-tron!
These flags are indeed silly sometimes, and they change without a warning. Kyle, our dear workaholic Valencianista from Springfied (is it?), is sometimts from Afghanistan and sometimes from Guantanamo Bay, so watch not to get your ass arrested!
No North Korea so far!Posted from

@ Almendras.
First of all, Liverpool is owned by a Canadian and an American, and the American is from Texas. People from Texas are idiots (no offense to anyone from Texas here, you clearly are the exception to the rule). However, people like Tom Hicks and George W. Bush are from Texas. I rest my case

Good news Almendras, that Mata thing was a freaking disgrace!! Means he’ll stay I guess. Imagine being less paid than those from Manolo’s!

@ Quin.
LOL. “Kyle, our dear workaholic Valencianista”. Thanks for the kind words. Has my flag been from Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay? Now Yemen? WTF…
And yes, I am from shitty Springfield, Ohio, USA USA USA USA USA!!! LOL…

Javier, its simple. Because USA has taken over Valencia. Didn’t you hear?
Johnnie, I can follow your point, but you are still making a lot of assumptions there, about what Soriano really wants, what our club’s financial policy would’ve been without him, how struggling with bankruptcy for 5 years will make us 100% stable after that etc. We really don’t know any of these for sure.
Moreover, a short while back, we were hoping for some entity to take over our club and pour money into it. Now, I don’t know what they are going to do to the club. I’ll have to wait and see, but unless they make it even worse, I think this is a step forward.
I really don’t see us wiping off our debts by player sales. The sale of Mestalla was the only way and we knew how easy that has been, for whatever reason.

I really don’t know what to make of this Soriano thing. I agree with Johnnie in a lot of aspects but I guess we will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow at the press conference. I hope this is all for the best.

@ Let’s hope nothing much changes and that they keep Gomez in position of some influence as this has been the least moronic administartion I’ve seen at Valencia in a long time. It was a good idea to put a banker in charge.

You guys have a spot for young Johnnie Walker maybe?? I’m still looking for a summer job, and looking at the rate we are replacing club officials, i’d say i’d be out of a job by the time my semester starts!!!

Nithin, we’ll most likely get a diddy, or worse the P.DIDDY. Seriously though, it’s most likey from a banking group. Can we promise them to change the sponsors next season?. I don’t think we can change the Kappa one due to a long term deal. But the shirt sponsors. Tisk tisk.
