A quickie

So just a quick update before our Copa del Rey encounter.

World Soccer magazine has just awarded our very own DAVID VILLA best forward in the world.

Not that we didnt already know that. Villa has proven himself already this season with a stunning 7 goals.

There is however rumours once again that Manchester United are after Villa and SIlva in a 40 million pound bid to take them in January.

Like most rumours i would be quick to ignore these.. 40 million for two stars is rediculous.

Lets hope our club feels the same way. After all simply making it to the Champions league would net us an additional 25 million in television rights. And that would be undoable without Silva and Villa.

So today is Copa del Rey.

Hey want to have a good laugh. Watch this 250 million dollar flop !

My prediction is an easy Valencia victory 2-0 won by our backup team.

  @sx1: I missed the 1st 20mins and the last 15mins, but from what I saw we didnt play well. I think we just wanted a goal and we wanted to take all the pressure and win with the least possible effort to avoid injuries and fatigue.

  It was a boring match….Probably our best player was Dealbert. Worst player was definitely Miku (why is this guy at Valencia???).

  Congrats Villa! and good we won last night although from what i read in here, rather unconvincingly.
  Man u rumours again? *Yawn* January transfer window? *double yawn* If Llorente is going to sell Villa and Silva in January, then that will throw all his talks about our stars are needed in order to take us into CL and finish at least top 4, out of the window.

  I thought Llorente just stated himself that Villa nor Silva and I presume Mata as well will not be leaving Valencia during the winter break. The English papers kept saying we have to sell because of the finance situations bla, bla, bla, which is old news already. First with both Villa and Mata for ridiculously 40 mill. Now it’s on to Mata going to Liverpool. The Brit tabloid just have to make up news to sell paper I guess.

  They might be starting on Pablo soon. He’s been showing quite sublime skills. Oh, and don’t forget Banega, Valnecianistas’ favorite Che these days.

  I guess these rumors started coming up after Fernando Gómez said that Valencia would have to sell some players a few days ago. It’s confusing because only last summer the president said that no stars would be sold, except for scandalously scandalous prices.
  At the moment, my hunch is that Mata is the likeliest to go.

  Weird hunch. Last summer Mata was on the list of players you were definately keeping. Only nearer the end of the window were Silva and Villa confirmed to be staying – they are clearly more likely to be leaving. But now Banega is in the mix too and he’s probably more likely to leave than they are, since that could easily have happened in the summer if you’d had a decent bid for him.
