A new kit, a new player, and other news
By: dan_c | June 14th, 2011The kit
This seems like the best place to start.
The away kit has been released, and I’m sure will divide opinion. Me, I like it somehow, although I’d like to see it played in before I make it concrete opinion. Whether by design or coincidence, the new design is strikingly similar to the Valencia kit of the late 70s.

Alternative kit

Valencia 70s
A small history lesson then. The shirt contains the Senyera flag, 4 red stripes on a yellow background (although the standard flag usually has horizontal stripes, to the best of my knowledge). This was the flag of the Crown of Aragon. The Crown of Aragon was a a group of states under the rule of the King of Aragon in the 14th and 15th centuries. At its greatest, the Crown stretched from the east coast of spain across the Mediterranean, including much of Southern Italy and part of Greece.
History lesson over.
I like the kit.
New Player – Dani Parejo
Apologies for the error of the last post, for some bizarre reason I listed Parejo as a left back. Um…
Anyway, as a solid, exciting young player with bags of potential I like him. I am worried however that we are spending much of our already limited transfer budget on a player who we hardly need when other issues in the squad are more pressing.
Dani is currently on international duty at the U21 championships, where speaking of which…
Mata Report
Juan Mata put in a great performance for a very impressive Spain U21 team. To be honest, they were head and shoulders above England. They displayed the same Barca-esque passing brilliance and with the future looking so bright, there is no doubt that Spain will at least be up there if not dominating the international scene for many years. Mata put in some great passes, and generally dictated play. He was let down by a lack of a Soldado-esque player to feed, but overall will be happy with his role. I certainly was.
Banega speculation Ever going to end?
Probably not before a transfer materializes or the very last day of the transfer window. I’d love t hold him. Mikel Arteta has been linked and he has impressed in the Premier League in the past seasons but his injury-prone state is a worry. My opinion is if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Only sell Ever if he and Emery can’t work through differences and we get very good money for him.

Much Love

Mata was great this game as well

Jafar: i said Kuwaitis :p haha!
and also being hard negotiators is bad too. we let Gameiro go, remember? we were too late.

-

7amanito
Well Iraq is close to Kuwait so I hope to join the crew
I meant selling wise being hard is good, but ye your right but Gameiro is the one that chose PSG when he could have gone to us.
Being hard is good, but of course being too hard is not great but that’s with everything really being too or having too much is bad.

-

@Jafar: Welcome bro, I thought your name sounded from our part!
Inshalah awtha3 el3raq a7san el7een?? @7amanito: Should I tell them the secret about how terribly unhealthy Kuwaiti salads are?

-

@Fayez things aren’t really improving but hopefully they will in the future.
Why aren’t we link with more defenders?

Marca wrote something about the crisis in Spanish football, I thought they didn’t know about it.
At least they know there is a problem so hopefully things will improve

-

They are proposing to punish the lower clubs in the Liga for getting into debt because they “may have overspent in an attempt to compete with the richer clubs”.
How does that help anyone. If they allow clubs such as Real to spend 100 million on one player then all the other players will be expecting more money to transfer and the rest of the division will have to pay more for their players to stay in the First Division

-

@Almendras: I agree with you. I just dont understand why Valencia didnt stand against the new TV rights deal with Sevilla, Villarreal, Malaga and most of the other clubs.
Anyway in other news, its been a slow market so far. Our management is working on getting rid of players first and I dont blame them in that. I personally want Joaquin to leave, I think if we can manage to get 6ME for him it would be good for both the player and club.
What do you guys think of Jefferen from Barca? He’s being linked with us if Joaquin leaves. Im not sure if he’s the right option.

-

No barca or rm players and there dumb buy back clauses

-

Another nail in the coffin of the -New Mestalla- Stadium.
Yesterday the Justice Tribunal of Valencia cancelled the agreement of three years ago to build a New Hotel there

-

Almendras what does that mean?

-

Why is there so much racism in euro football? I never been to europe i dont understand

-

@ Jafar i actually surprise to know that there is other che fans in Iraq nice to hear such a thing .
i do agree to sell Joaquin for a good price & the idea of getting Jefferen is pretty good ,hes doing good plus hes young too we need those types of players.

-

@Jose: Yeah racism is everywhere around the world, but its still pretty strong in Europe.
In Spain there seems to be a lot of racism towards black people. I just cant believe black players in 2011 still have to listen to the Spanish crowds imitating monkey noises whenever they get on the pitch. A few years ago Etoo caused a scene and I think more people should stand up to this nonsense. Its pathetic and all they get is a silly fine.

Hi Jafar. When the planning permission was granted in 2008 for a new Stadium it went together with shops and Restaurants to help to pay for the cost of building.
One nice big item to bring big money in was a large Hotel.
This item has now been cancelled, if it is not reinstated,
it means enough money for the carrying on of the Stadium even less likely

-

@ Jose
It has to do with a lot of clubs having their hard core fan groups based on extreme right / left political groups. Many stadiums get infiltrated by nationalistic neo-nazis (just look at Yomus (VCF), Boys Noixes (FCB), Ultra Sur (RM), etc). In Spain there is a historically big right wing movement called España 2000 which has a large following. It all has to do with immigration nowadays, cause of the large flow of foreigners to Europe in the last 50 years plus the growing nationalism in Europe regarding globalization. But Spain isnt even the worst, check out the Balkans where football firms were actually incorperated into the national armies, officially forming paramilitairy groups with very nationalistic characters. Arkan’s Tigers was the best example of that. Crazy stuff:

They hate Arabs in Spain because of some Algerians that cause trouble there, so to the Arabs don’t say that your Arab in Spain just say another country or your own country but don’t say Arab.
They really should pay more attention to racism in football and do something about it, don’t they always say respect in Fifa,Uefa etc.
The thing about Jeffren is that he is left footed and I think Feghouli will do well as a replacement for Pablo, but I agree we do need young player if we are going to buy one.
@nana
So I take it that your Iraqi, most people I know in the middle-east are either for Barca or Real, or some other team but mainly Barca and Real. But when I started to support Valencia I lived in Holland.

-

@Almendras
Ok thank you, and why is everything against us?
I read that the Council helped us to get it but they weren’t allowed to make such decision. These thing are really annoying.

-

@ Jafar yeah thats right they are either barca or real or if they have to change they support milan hahaha
BTW yeah im iraqi

-

about racism in the stands:
the home team fans try to disturb the away teams players by anything possible, fat, big ears, pizzaface, black, brown etc…
in real life most of theese ppl have the same racist level mind as anyone else in the world. somehow it is rooted deep in everyones mind and you have to dig into yourself why so you can understand it.

) and hence will surely be attending at least 1 match. Can you guys please in form me when the list of fixtures will be published. Also do we have to book the tickets beforehand or not and also like how much they cost (the cheapest stands that is considering I am a student and from what I have heard the most fun . Any help will be greatly appreciated

-

what???? 4 milions for Joaquin !!! only 4 ? we couldnt do better !! okay we agree to bye him but i guess we could do better deal at least 6 mils

-

Gosh I want these people would get hold of their junk straightened over so We recognized there was in fact likely to end up being football this season. There will probably end up being several critical conditions regarding withdrawal without.
