Update on Angulo: He Ain’t Coming Back!

By: Cesar | February 8th, 2008

_40515003_angulo203.jpgScratch that fuzzy homecoming for wayward striker Miguel Angel Angulo.

Yesterday’s news saw the scraggly-haired forward playing in a practice match.

Tongues started wagging, with pundits saying maybe Coach Ronnie Koeman had changed his mind. Maybe he was giving the three fired players (Angulo, David Albelda and Santi Canizares) another chance after all. Maybe he’d seen the light.

Nope.

Today, ‘Tintin’ let the world know he’s not the kind of guy who’ll change his mind.

“He (Angulo) only played a practice match,” Koeman said. “The decision is made and anyone that knows me knows I’m not going to change (the decision).”

So that’s that.

Case closed. Time to move on.

I only hope this guy knows what he’s doing.

Remember back in the day when I called for QQ’s head? Well, you get what you asked for. Intertoto Cup, here we come!

I’m a passionate Valencianista currently residing in Washington, D.C. This is not regarding Angulo. Instead, I write because I’m going to visit a friend in New York City next weekend, and as I will be away from GolTV access in my apartment in D.C., I will need to find somewhere to watch the Valencia-Getafe match. Hence, I’m wondering if you guys–Cesar, I know you live in NYC and are trying to form a NYC-based Los Che supporters club–know the best place to watch it. I will be staying in Brooklyn, but I can make it anywhere in the city. Any advice would appreciated. Thanks!

Timothy, tried to e-mail you but it didn’t work …

If you can go, Nevada Smiths on 11th street and 3rd avenue in Manhattan is the place to go …
Why don’t we meet there next week?
I’m always up for meeting fellow valencianistas!
Hope to see you next weekend …

Thanks guys for the advice–Nevada Smith’s looks perfect. Yea, I should meet you there Cesar, I’d love to watch the game with a fellow Valencia fan for once. All my friends like lame English teams like Man U, so I usually watch the matches alone. That email doesn’t work, I messed up. I hope GolTV will be playing the game next weekend and or I can rally my friends to come up there, but I should be up there. I’ll keep you posted later on this week. Our boys looked good today. Although it was against this year’s punching bag, Real Betis, I’ll take it. Amunt Valencia!
