They’re Angry in Japan!
By: Cesar | January 16th, 2008Today in Tokyo, fans got together to protest against President Juan Soler and coach Ronald Koeman’s dismissals of Angulo, Albelda and Cañizares. For a video of the protests, click here!!!
They’re even angry in Japan!
Wonder if I could get a protest going here. Do one in Times Square. I wonder how many people would show up. Two? I have to get that penya going … anyways, I digress!
Two more bit of news before today’s Copa Del Rey match against Real Betis.
First off, PSV Eindhoven are angry at us for trying to go behind their backs and nip Mexican defender Carlos Salcido. According to PSV director Jan Reker, all offers for him from us will go “directly into the litter bin”. That’s nice …
Reker told AD Sportwereld: “That is absolutely indecent. We are not even very angry about it, but we are very disappointed.”
Los Che have now contacted PSV to talk about the transfer, but they are not willing to let him go.
“Valencia called us on Monday with their request and I immediately told them that Salcido is not for sale,” Reker added. “Every offer that Valencia will make goes directly into the litter bin.”
That’s not cool.
The last bit of news concerns Koeman, who warned against relaxing against Betis tonight. Relaxing? What are you, crazy??
“We have a great chance of going through, but we will still have to perform,” he explained.
“The team cannot go into the game thinking the job is already done and make mistakes.” We’re a goal up and can advance with a draw tonight.
“We have to continue playing like we have been for the past few games,” he said. (What have we done the last few games? Well, we have played better … )
“As well as playing well you have to win because that is the most important thing. (yes, sir …)
“I cannot complain about the fans’ reaction after the last home game against Levante. The only thing we are missing is scoring goals and winning games.” (Which, of course, is the whole point of the game …)
Let’s hope for the best. I think we’ve turned a corner somewhat. Let’s keep the good stretch going …

Nice Article. Good comments on whatever Koeman said. I feel sad for Valencia this season. But I think they will bounce back. They should focus on reaching 4th spot in the league.

why do people like to stick with the past?? they ot axed… byebye life goes on.. its not like they r in thier mid 20s.. okay they got axed in a bad way and all but seriously were they playing well?? can u copare them with world class players? they were world class but now it was thier time to leave.. sry they left tht way but hey life isnt perfect!… as for ronald koeman… he is a real coach with personality… he tels players you go by the rules i put or the dnt lett the door hit ur ass on ur way out… thts what alex furgison said 2 weeks ago to his players… thst what every good coach says… unlike QQ who said to miguel u can have a night life but play welll. thinking it not going to effect his preformance,, and way to give an example to his players!! giving them persmission to clubbin and smoking!! what kind of coach does that?!! ROnald Koeman is tryg his est and i see changes already in the team!! the team is progressing… as i always say it is going to take time, he doens’t have the magic stick to turn this around in a blink of an eye! me personally i have faith in him!
