Oh Well …
By: Cesar |So that ends that.
No trips to Moscow for me this season to see our lads in the Champions League final.
But maybe it’s for the better. Maybe we need this shake-up to reorganize, weed out the bad elements, focus on the task at hand and give the new gaff a chance to ingrain himself to [...]
We’re Just Not That Good, I Guess
By: Cesar |First off, let me apologize to all the readers for my lack of posts.
I’ve been busy trying to get to Ghana for the 2008 African Cup of Nations. That’s taking up a chunk of my time.
It’s a long, winding process but one I’m sure will bear fruit … one way or the other.
But nothing [...]
5 Valencia Heroes, 5 Valencia Villains
By: Cesar |First off, congratulations to Spain (Diet Valencia, Valencia Lite) for their Euro 2008 qualification. La Seleccion gained entry to next summer’s tournament with a 3-0 victory over Sweden on Saturday.
It’ll be fun to see the lads running around in Austria next summer. Let’s hope they don’t disappoint like so many times in the past. La [...]
No Footie, No Cry
By: Cesar |I haven’t written in a while but can you blame me?
There’s not really much going on …
To list:
- We have a new coach. Amunt, Mr. Ronald Koeman. Bring us glory like Rafa Benitez did in 2002. Look to the left for memories of those glory years. (Sigh …)
- Edu is on his way [...]
Good Work

Yes, he lost midweek to Rosenborg in a humiliating Champions League display. He couldn’t be blamed for that loss but I think it’s safe to say he can be praised for Saturday’s victory against Murcia, 3-0.
Two great goals by the returning David Villa [...]
Keoman Lays Down the Law
By: Cesar |You have to give it to new coach Ronald Koeman.
He’s already trying to instill his vision on the team.
Ahead of tomorrow’s rumble with Murcia at the Mestalla, the former Barcelona superstar was candid in his assessment of what he’s seen in his short time at the helm of Club Che. And he doesn’t like [...]
Decepcionado
By: Cesar |What more can I really say?
I suppose this team just isn’t good enough for the Champions League.
Today’s 2-0 (!!) thrashing at the hands of Norway’s Rosenborg at the Mestalla, Ronald Koeman’s first game as coach, essentially eliminates us from Champions League play for the rest of the season. The best we can hope for [...]
Letting Others Speak
By: Cesar |I haven’t written in a few days and with good reason. Wednesday’s 5-1 debacle/game at the Mestalla against arch-rivals Real Madrid was just a little too much for me.
